Leak on bottom fuel tank
There are some products which will repair a fuel tank. It depends on the leak.
Some of the products require removing the tank, adding the leak chemical and swirling the mixture inside the tank. Other products are like JB Weld which could work, but there are specific chemicals just for this job.
If you have rust on a 1999 vehicle, it can cost you less to replace the tank new, than to buy chemicals and lose gas when they do not work. Rust is especially hard to guarantee a repair on. Fix one place and another leaks a day later.Check out the Internet for new tanks. It will be harder to find an old tank because most are ripped off before the Salvage cars are allowed on the lots.Radiator shops sometimes do this repair.I hope my solution is helpful.
I have a 99 grand caravan it starts perfect but
Does the engine crank okay when warm and you try to restart? If you give it a little bit of gas when warm will it start? My guess if there are no check engine lights on would be a failing gas pressure regulator.
How do you check wheel bearings?
Most cars will go their liftime without a problem from wheel bearings. And they let you know when they go by billowing smoke out of the wheel as you drive, then it is too late, But the fronts are fairly easy, the rears, you cannot check, you have to go by ear, If they are grinding back there, they need attention, rear axle cars only, not front drive, the fronts are on a spindle that is easily accessed, Just rocking the wheel will tell you if it loose, but always listen first for for dry grinding sound, It will eventually get worse. Hope this helps.
My 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport is having
if it happens only at this time and not just holding a steady speed or not accelerating you could have a problem with cv joint which is located on the halfshaft/drive axle.it will have to be checked out at a shop to try to narrow down which side is causing this.if it is a cv joint replace the halfshaft not just the joint.it could also be a possible transmission problem like a lock up torqur convertor.if it was a bad belt in a tire then you would feel it at other driving speeds as well.
How to remove inner door panel on a 1999 dodge caravan
Almost all door panels are attached by: SMALL PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS- these are found all around the door panel. They are normally hidden by; small plastic grommets (round, flat plastic push tabs used to cover and make it look pretty!) -remove with flat head screwdriver or your nails at-own risk, THE SPEAKER COVER- -easily popped off by squeezing outer edges inwards releasing the male part on the speaker cover from the slot on the door panel and THE RUBBER OR PLASTIC COVER- found on the inner side of the door handle-this cover may not be there for your model and you may see the screw or the grommet. If not, remove cover with flat head screw driver or needle nose plyers, then remove screw/s Tips:1)check for grommets if screw/s are not in plain sight)- plastic push tabs (flat head and round about a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch in diameter, normally matches the car door panel and fits flush with the panel as well so look closely! You will need a flat head screw driver for this part or try your nails at own risk.), 2) Once you have removed all the screws and or push tabs shake the panel to pin point any remaining screws or tabs. Some times there are slots in the door frame that join with the male part located on the inner side (touches the door) of the plastic panel. good luck!
