Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Hi Judy, It would seem that the rotating arm has become detached from the wiper motor shaft. This can happen if the threads are worn on either the nut or the shaft. As it can happen when you really need them and at any time, I suggest that you have the unit replaced foer safety sake....You see, we want you around! Regards John
