How do I fix code p0455 evaporative emission system leak detected (gross leak / no flow) on a 1996 dodge stratus

It appears that the hose to the carbon canister is either disconnected or has a hole in it. It won't hurt your car to drive it this way. If you are really concerned about it, replace the carbon canister and the connecting hose and forget about it for another 15 years or so.

Did you let it run with cap off for long time with heater on while you refilled system? Usually let rad fan come on and off 2 or 3 times with cap off to bleed system properly.

I have a 1996 Dodge Stratus ES 4 door Sedan. It is a 2.4. I had my oil changed in June of 2014. How long does an oil change last and when is it advisable to get it changed again? Thanks

oil change period is every 6 months or 5000 miles or 10000klms however as the oil collects moisture from incomplete combustion any short runs that do not allow the engine to come to full operating temperature to boil off the moisture will need a more regular oil change So if the car does runs of at least 1/2 hour the the 6 months will be ok On the other hand if it is only used to go around the corner to a corner shop then more frequent oil changes will be required Good policy is oil filter with the oil every 6 months or if more frequent with every second oil change

How much is the cheapest AC Blower motor and AC Resistor? Do You know of anyone who can help me get it installed cheap?

If you are mechanically inclined - the cheapest part is going to be at a "Do It Yourself" Auto Salvage Yard. If you have "Craig's List" available - you can find auto mechanics that do work on the side. If you want new parts and you have Internet Service - "Google" the part you want. "Rock Auto Parts" (Internet) is a pretty good source with a lot of options. Let me know if that helps you at all?

I have a 1996 dodge stratus that was stalling when you would come to a stop, I was getting a IAT sensor code, I unplugged some of the connectors under the hood to check for corrosion, everything looke

If the mass air sensor (MAS) is malfunctioning, it could be telling the control unit that a lot more air is entering the engine than the true amount of air. So more gas is distributed to the engine to match the mass air reading. When you unplug the PVC from the hose, you are introducing more air and are one step closer to equaling what the possibly malfunctioning MAS is telling the control unit. Connect all hoses and sensors. Disconnect the MAS. It will be that sensor, just after the air filter. This will put the MAS readings into fail-safe (general parameters) . If this MAS is reading incorrectly, the engine should be smooth when the MAS is unplugged. If this fixes your issue, there is special cleaner to spray and clean the sensor. It may not be bad. It may just have a coating on it (inside the air intake tube). I've seen a feather on the mass air sensor shut down an engine completely
