Where is the Sevice Port located?
I would not go to a place that did not have a service manual or know how to pull one off the internet.
You can find a Dodge Truck forum (just search on it) and gets lots of good information.
How do i change the gear shift linkage bushings?
Remove the guide rail, open pinion port with Sentry tool. Withdraw link pin and shaft assemble and place it vertically on the drum side of the chassis. Pull the wheel housing and draw down the shift bushings. Pop out the jargon plate and dandelion scope. You are done.
Stalling and overdrive
IAC ( idle air control ) location. You need to be sure to clean pintle (pointed end) of motor as well as spray clean inside port where it comes out of. Careful not to lose small "o" ring on motor.
My 93 dakota stated die'n at red light and then it wouldnt go into overdrive
A lot of vehicles will act the same, or even jump in and out of OD , not uncommon due to load on engine and if not running properly has to kick out of overdrive to maintain speed. Is your "check engine" light on, or have you scanned or cycled key to retrieve any trouble codes? You are aware that most parts stores will scan for codes free of charge ?

Idles, floods under acceleration/throttle movement
The TBI unit is going to be the route of your problem. Clean and inspect the insides of the unit. Next to the injector is the fuel pressure regulator. Either the injector pressure regulator has failed and is leaking, the o-ring that seals the regulator to the TBI has failed, or because of age and time. The housing itself has oxidized or cracked and is letting fuel leak into the throttle body. There are many different ways that the TBI unit can fail. An unmetered amount of air getting into the engine, low or no fuel pressure, or throttle linkage was sticking or broken, then there would be other symptoms. You provided a great description and list of symptoms. Please, when you have time, take a closer look at the TBI unit and let me know. If you have any other questions please write back and I'll do my best, good luck.
No power at fuel pump
