Too complicated to explain here...buy a Chiltons Manual at Auto Zone or NAPA $25...not too bad of a job but you should have a thorough knowledge of tools.

Engine misses at 35 mph code po 304 coil pack plug wire replaced

Information courtesy of http://obd-codes.com

A code P0304 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Faulty spark plug or wire
  • Faulty coil (pack)
  • Faulty oxygen sensor (s)
  • Faulty fuel injector
  • Burned exhaust valve
  • Faulty catalytic converter(s)
  • Running out of fuel
  • Poor compression
  • Defective computer
Possible Solutions If there are no symptoms, the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.
If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

Hope this helps with your problem. Best of luck.

Check engine soon light

More than likely, you need the magnet on the timing gear replaced. This will require the timing cover to come off.

1995 buick riviera

Sounds like a shorted switch. You can likely get one from a donor car at a salvage yard for under $10 and change it. That'd be my first item to try.

Keyless remote programming

1. Insert keys in ignition and leave in the OFF position.
2. Locate the OBDII Port under drivers side dashboard.
(Note port is wider at top) Your OBDII Port will not have numbers, use this for reference.

3. Make sure there are metal contact pins in terminals 8 and 4. Connect 8 and 4 with a suitable
jumper wire (leave the jumper wire connected throughout the programming procedure). Make
sure you know which terminals are 8 and 4. The vehicle will respond by locking then unlocking the
doors to signify entering of programming mode.

4. Close Doors

5.
Turn ignition to the ON position (as far as you can go without cranking the engine).
Doors will
lock.

6. Press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together on the first transmitter to be
programmed. Up to about 30 seconds, the vehicle will respond by locking then unlocking the doors.
Release the buttons on the transmitter.

7. Within one minute, repeat the previous step on the remaining transmitter (if any – including any
existing remotes).

8. Remove jumper wire applied to the OBDII Port

Please let me know how it works out for you.

How do you access the heater core on a 1998 buick reviera?

look closely if it is coolant. normally it woiuld have odor, hot/warm, or yellowish or brown in color.

if it is clear and cold, it could just be the water condensate from your a/c unit passing to the heater housing.

if it is really coolant, then it is a big job to change it and it is not a common problem.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Changing supercharger oil

It takes a 3/16 allen wrench to open the port to check and add fluid which is on the top of the charger just left of the cover. You don't need to take the cover off to access.

How do I find another alternator pigtail connector for my 1995 Buick Riviera 3.8 supercharges series 1

Have you tried looking at EBay? 0717b36f-7613-4082-b6c9-aa650c9f337a-ehinm42rxhhytoolj41wyv21-d-0.png I did a quick search and found this. Not sure if this is what you are looking at but certainly there would be a matching pigtail. Otherwise a junkyard (call before you go) and you can probably get one from another GM car. Full size gm chassis with the same engine

1983 buick riveria horn location

If I remember correctly, it should be on the drivers inner fender in front of the left front tire under the hood. Seems like it should be hiding behind the washer bottle or the coolant reservoir.

What's the capacity of trans fluid for a 1981 Buick Riviera 4.1L 252 V-6 take

I would anticipate 9 quarts or liters if the torque converter is also dry. Most fluid will go in the converter with only a quart or so in the pan.
