the flexible rubber pipes are usually held in by a large C clip. use a screwdriver to lever the clip outwards past the lugs and pull hard on the pipe

if you can get it on a lift id check from your tank and follow all the lines up to your block, checking for leaks. does it smell like burnt gas or raw liquid?

You need the codes pulled form the vehicles ECU with a scanner. The TDI engine does not do this when running correctly.

There are a number of reasons I can think of why this might happen, some being, Glow Plug/s failure, injection pump problem, such as temperature sensor failed, fuel system air leaks and alternator charging problems..

The alternator has a one way drive pulley that fails often causing unstable idle and belt noise..

Low power indicates the engine is in limp mode needing attention.

Find a garage with a scanner for this VW and allow them to check the vehicle.

Check the comfort (AC/CM) module fuse, most likely blown.

I would stop using the car With VW/Audi there may be shops that work on them, but you need scan tools specific to that make Non of my domestic or asian venders even offer that So your best bet is a VW Dealer, so they can scan the vehicle for the problem When the powertrain features effect the transmission, you can ruin a trans in ten miles of driving So Don't Use It like that You can Google EPC which I did, but I can not spend a long time to learn Euro Technology & the fix, when I don't see those vehicles We have a friend that has a VW & last Nov 2013 the car spent 5 weeks at a dealer, they had to contact Germany, as they had no idea how to program an ABS Module,all because a switch that was on the outside for a decade & replaced by the vehicle owners, was no inside & your done In the British Isles & other parts of Europe, they take that in stride & don't get up set or have the issues we have in North America

All these switches I have found are on the passenger side. Either in the trunk or behind the kick panel on the passenger side. Rarely do these go bad.. And they only need reset if you have a front end accident. If you are not getting fuel check the fuses and or the fuel pressure.

This is called oxidation, it is common place on plastic headlights. There is a kit you can buy at an auto parts store to repair this. The kit costs less than $20 and you will need a handheld drill.
