I have a 2004 VWPassat.

Any "proper" shop should be aware of the precautions that need to be made when changing over a battery so that none of the items need re-setting. It's not the type of item that should be a "dealer only" repair,

Air conditioner relay location 2004 passat

hi,
the a/c pressure switch is located to the left side of the condenser radiator, as you stand in front of the vehicle. you may have to remove the bumper in order to get access to this switch.
there are 2 relays dealing with the a/c , numbers 16 and 17, on the relay plate at the drivers knees, the plastic panel will have to come down. 16 is the clutch relay and 17 is a/c control module.
hope this is of some help

Intermittant brightness on trip computer display

Unfortuanatly,

This is a problem will all vehicles eventually. You will have to replace the display, if it bothers you or no longer operable. These typically have to be replaced at the dealer or body shop because they have to recertify your odometer reading. Sorry, I don't have better news.

Brake lights went out, it's

Check the switch above the pedal. See if the plunger moves out of the switch when the pedal is pushed. Adjust if possible to make it actuate properly. If it is actuationg but not turning the lights on, remove the connector from the switch and connect the terminals 1 and 4 in the connector with a big paper clip. If the lights come on, replace the switch.

2004 Passat, 127,000 miles, engine

Sounds about right for the miles. A Bosch Oxygen Sensor will cost you around $61 - A DENSO is about $10 cheaper(NAPA prices). Easy to replace, and If you do not replace you will eat up allot of fuel and also could take out your catalytic converter too.. Good idea to replace it. A shop typically charges around $65 labor plus parts to replace it.

Take Care

My car feels like the clutch/transmission slips

Aside from a bad plate, there are a couple things that will make a clutch slip. The primary one is overheated springs. When you replaced the clutch, was it just the disk or the whole disk/pressure plate assembly?
The second common reason is a clutch that is adjusted too tight. If the clutch is engaging near the beginning of the pedal stroke, it will get tighter at speed and start to slip. These days it's less of a problem as most clutches are hydraulic. Does either of these make sense for your car? If not, I'm stumped.

How do i put in transmission oil 2004 volkswagen

There is no dipstick on these vehicles like u will find on older american cars.

The transmission fluid can only be checked when the transmission fluid temperature is between 35 to 45 degrees celcius.

The only way to know the fluid temp is with a diagnostic scan tool. At that point you remove the fill plug in the bottom of the transmision pan and fill with fluid until fluid drains back out. Use only genuine VW fluid part number G 052162A2 or you will damage the transmision. If you fill with fluid while tranny is to cool you will over fill and damage the transmission. If you fill with fluid when the tranny is to hot you will underfill and run a slight risk of damaging the transmission. The fill plug and drain plug are next to each other so make sure you are removing the right one.
