Where is the orifice tube

The Fixed Orifice Tube is located in the high pressure inlet to the AC evaporator core on the firewall, the high pressure side is the side with the small hose from the compressor. Below is a picture of the Evaporator core, note the two holes, the Fixed Orifice Tube goes in the smaller of the two holes.

My service engine soon light

Evaporative emissions, i.e. gasoline fumes. The fumes in the fuel system are collected in a canister and are then purged during normal driving to be burned by the engine. The ECM (electronic control module) checks the evap system each time the key is turned on. If the system fails the test enough times, the ECM will set a code and turn the SES light on. Possible causes: Damage to the canister, purge lines or valve, but most commonly it's a loose fuel tank cap. Buy a new cap, make sure it's tight after each refueling and if that was the problem, the SES will eventually turn off. You could also take the quick route and just clear the code after replacing the fuel tank cap.

Have a problem with a 2003 Pontiac Bonn. The

You could start by checking the maxi fuses that feed the ignition switch. If you don't have power to the fuses feeding the ignition switch, the problem would be between there and the battery. The best tools for finding this type of problem is for me, is a wiring diagram and a test light. A test light is $5 at an auto parts store and you can copy your wiring diagram for ten cents a page at your local library...

What causes my 2003 pontiac

Honestly, it sounds like your transmission is starting to go bad, With the cars I have had that hesitate to switch gears, the transmission went out soon afterwards. Have you made sure to check the fluid levels?

Also, check the level and color of the transmission fluid. It should be red/pink in color without much discoloration in it. And the level should be at the designated line on the dipstick.

I am having a problem

Either the switch is bad or the computer itself is bad. I would take it to a garage and have them check the computer to see which one is bad. A diagnotic should not be very expensive. Some garages don't charge at all if you have them fix it.

Battery geeting to hot

you have something connected incorrectly - whatever has wires which you recently changed must be wired incorrectly...
If this is not the case, check the voltage regulator,. your alternator may not be shutting the charge to the battery off - the regulator would probably be inside the alternator or possibly on the firewall.

What causes the service engine soon light to come

The check engine light comes ON.This light comes because there is any error code saved in cars computer. In this case the car needs to be scanned. You can get your car scanned at car diagnostic center like www.autozone.com or at your local car garage. Once the car is scanned the error code will be detected so as per that you can get the part replaced. At autozone service center its absolutely free to get car scanned.Because the engine light is on,its advisable to get car scanned.
