Icon under the airbag icon lights up now and then, what is it?
You may gave a collision sensor somewhere that is in the process of going out. If you have access to an OBDC reader that also detects airbag functions you can easily determine which one.
Getting a replacement for it is a different animal, though.

First, is the security light staying on or flashing ? You have a problem with the chip in the key or the security system if it is.
Otherwise, you need to know if you have battery power at both terminals on the starter when the key is in the start position. One possible cause is the neutral safety switch.
My windshield wipers will not turn off on 2002
I am having the same issue with my 2003 bonneville. Changed out the control switch, no difference. Changed out wiper motor, still no difference. Seems that the problem may be on the wire for the delay. There is a constand 2.5 voltage when the switch is in the off position, cause the wipers to run intermitently. The wipers will run more often if you rev the car engine and increase the trace voltage. A wire is going to be added to bypass the bad wire in the harness. Crossing my fingers, hope this works.
Engine dies while driving can usually be restarted.
Whom ever replaced the sensor, must havedone so, based on the code & not on testingto find out why the code was set.Codes do not tell you what is wrong or to replaceany parts. My advice would be to find a shop that is the best aroundat diagnosing vehicles,I wish I could give you a guide & questions to ask in your search but I can'tYou will have to ask other people where they go to& what type issues they had & the shops can resolve. On a vehicle 10 years old & for those who never change theiroil on a new vehicle & that includes most people, you could havemechanical problemsA sensor reports an out of range condition,so if you have nowiring issues or other sensors pulling that one down, mechanicalissues are a good place to lookThe way to do that is using an oscilloscope & the propersoftware,& not every shop has that-- shall we say equipment, knowledge & skill level.Use your codes & Google them & your vehicle & look for known issues with whatever motor you have.
