Where is the fuse for cigarette lighter on 2001 bonneville
It depends on which cigarette lighter you are trying to fix. There are two. One is protected by the fuse marked "C/LTR" (Fuse #23) and the other is protected by the one marked "AUX/PWR" (Fuse #22). They are both 20 Amp fuses and are located in the underhood fuse block.

No tail or running lights on right side
No park lights on right side, front or back?
Use a testlight and see if power is present at the contacts in the socket with park lights on. There may also be a separate ground for right rear, but I doubt it. If you don't have power to the socket, look for a broken wire between the left rear and right rear. (The socket will have two contact points-one for park lights, one for brake and turn signals.)

2001 pontiac bonneville battery don't charge
How good are the ends of the battery cables at the battery? Loose connections or acid swelling the cables will do that. Also make sure there is a good ground between the engine and body.
Changed transmission in 2001 bonneville
if the codes on the transmissions tags id plates do not match which I am sure they don't they are not compadible to use. All GM transmissions are ran off the PCM and wrong year transmissions installed cause the biggest greif since they are electronic
Also the neutral saftey / starter switch on the trans has to be adjusted to work correctly.
My car smells like something died and it is coming
You will need to start with the outside of the car. At the base of the windshield is the drain and screen. Is there any debris caught there that is turning ugly? Try flushing that out. This will accomplish two things - wash out any crud and tell you if the drains are open since the water should come out the bottom of the car from one or two drain tubes. If no water comes out, you have accumulated water and gunk building up inside the ventilation system.
If the flush does not solve the problem, you are going to need to get up under the dash. I would start with the blower motor housing and take it apart to see what is there. I had one that was filling with rain water and leaves. That is typically the low point in the system so starting there makes sense.
Good luck.
Oil sensor on dash keeps
- You have an oil pressure sending unit on your oil pan, just above the oil filter that could be going bad. Of course the oil pump could be going bad also but you can check the sending unit at home.
- First check your oil level to make sure enough oil is circulating.
- Now look at the oil sending unit and inspect to make sure the wires and connector look good.
- Note that in the next step when you remove the connector, turn the car to on NOT START JUST ON and have a quick look at the gauge inside the cabin. It should be all the way up. If not you could have a connector problem.
- To remove the oil sending unit by removing the connector and putting the proper deep socket on and twisting it out.
- Now put an oil pressure gauge in where the sending unit was and start the car. Make sure there are NO leaks and now watch the gauge.
- Now start the car and wait two minutes (roughly). If the pressure goes up to 50lbs (roughly) and stays then the sending unit itself is bad and needs replaced. Only let the car run lon enough to get a good reading then turn it off.
- If the pressure is low and won't come up after a couple minutes of running then your oil pump could be failing.
- Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Tony
