Where are the fuses located for the air conditioner in a 2001 pontiac bonneville
The interior fuse box in a Pontiac Bonneville is underneath the backseat on the driver's side.
To remove the rear seat cushion:
1. Pull up on the front of the cushion to release the
front hooks.
2. Pull the cushion up and out toward the front of
the vehicle.
To reinstall the rear seat cushion:
1. Buckle the center passenger position safety belt, then
route the safety belts through the proper slots in the
seat cushion. Don't let the safety belts get twisted.
2. Slide the rear of the cushion up and under the
seatback so the rear - locating guides hook into the
wire loops on the back frame.
3. With the seat cushion lowered, push rearward and
then press down on the seat cushion until the spring
locks on both ends engage.
4. Check to make sure the safety belts are properly
routed and that no portion of any safety belt is
trapped under the seat. Also make sure the seat
cushion is secured.
Notice:
The battery and main fuse blocks are located
under the rear seat cushion. The battery's ground
terminal and some relay wires are exposed.
To help avoid damage to the battery and wires,
be careful when removing or reinstalling the seat
cushion. Do not remove covers from covered
parts. Do not store anything under the seat, as
objects could touch exposed wires and cause
a short.
How do you check air conditioner fuses on a 2001 pontiac bonneville?
- Get a DMM (Digital Multimeter);
- Set the DMM to "OHMS" (any range, doesn't matter);
- Remove any fuse you wish to test from the fuse block on the car;
- Place the two probe ends from the DMM on the two terminals of the fuse.
- Read the display on the DMM. If you get a numeric reading (usually between 0 and 5 ohms), your fuse is good. If the DMM does not measure resistance (open circuit), the fuse is blown.
How to Install Master cylinder in 2001 Bonneville?
The new master cylinder should have bench bleeding instructions provided in the box with it, it should come with some plastic fittings that screw into the holes that the lines attach into and some plastic tubing. You screw the fitting into the holes and attach the tubing to the fittings. Clamp the master cylinder in a vise and fill the reservoir with fluid, put the tubing into the reservoir and actuate the plunger until all of the air is worked out of the master cylinder.You will still need to bleed the entire brake system when you place the new master cylinder on the vehicle as air will be in the system from taking the lines off, this will just reduce the amount of air.
Pontiac knocking noise
crank bearings are toast, the low oil light was trying to save itself
BEFORE the damage is done. the cost of doing an inframe bottom end repair is not worth the money. engines wear as a colective unit, if you freshen up the bottom end the top end inevitably will let go, and vice versa, a low mile used engine from an auto wrecker is the best solution ,bear in mind the car will mostly have to be taken apart to swap it out to the tune of a thousand dollars plus the engine.....ask youself is the car worth that investment or should the 1000 dollars be better off towards another car
Pontiac bonneville transmission problems
I had the same problem. My check engine light came on and the code said that the problem was with the overdrive sensor/filter clogged.You need to change the transmission filter.. But.... remember, if you put new fluid in the viscosity is different and your transmission is used to a (thicker) fluid. The new fluid will be thinner and the transmission will act kinda funny for the first couple of months. A lot of mechanics I've talked to has told me such. The tans works by pressures valves opening and closing and its gotten used to a thick fluid. change the filter and fluid and all should be okay.
How do you remove a blent door actuater from 2001 pontiac bonnevile
I never heard about a need to "reset" or replace a blend door.
If a/c, you probably need some Freon recharge. My 2005 Bonneville had this problem with the a/c. I looked at the blend doors for hours, before getting a clue about the low Freon. You'll probably need to go to the dealer or an a/c specialist to have it checked. It may ony need 1/2 a can of Freon to fix.
Air ride system
Usually it's above the rear axle(s). Follow the air lines from the rear shocks and you'll find it.
Car knocks when I start it
If it has the 3800 engine, usually the issue with this engine is at some time, the upper intake manifold (plenum) developed an internal coolant leak, from the plastic housing just under the throttle body, from the EGR tube that flows in to upper plenum. This causes the coolant to seep into the lower intake manifold ports and into the engine cylinder, on top of the piston, and when the engine turns over, sometimes this coolant causes this concern. If at any time you started your engine, and it stopped turning (cranking) over for a split second and then cranked over to start, this could cause the connecting rod to bend slightly causing the internal engine knock. Was your coolant/antifreeze ever low?? Is your engine oil have a milky color?
