When switching from cold air to hot air the heat does not come on. Also in the spring time when switching from heat to cold air we have a similar problem. The few times we have had success we were persistent in switching it back and forth and it would work. What could be the problem?
The galant heater problem is the temp acuator. That is the clicking sound your hearing. It is trying to work but it needs to be replaced. Mine has done the same thing. Its up under the dash almost directly behind the stereo. I had mine replaced for about 200. That included the part.
I do have another problem now though. I can't switch from vent to floor to defrost. It is stuck between floor/vent and defrost/floor. Cant drive in cold cuz defrost does not blow hard enought to keep window clear. Mechanic told me heater box warped and be about 2500 to fix. I call bs on this. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have 2002 mitsubishi galant cranks but will not start, I replaced fuel pump and spark plugs and still no start can you help please
Has it overheated lately?
My wife overheated our Galant and it just stopped working, it cranks but that's it.
I pulled the sparkplugs and found them wrapped in a gewey jelly like substance. Like an oil/antifreeze combo.
I am going to replace the entire motor for $1000 as taking it to the mechanics to theorize and practice may cost more.

Front left window glass moves downs only about an inch and then stops. Moves up smoothly. No bind between the glass and channels. When the glass stops after going down for about an inch motor also seems to be not trying. Initially motor seemed to try to pull down but glass wont go beyond an inch or so as if there was a bind. But now even motor stops pulling down after the glass goes down an inch.
Suspect regulator. Want brief instruction to remove regulator and install a new one. Have removed the door panel, It appears that the accesst to regulator is poor and not sure if the regulator would come out through the openings provided on inside metal sheet of the door.
i would say it is the regulator (so have a new one/or good replacement), and it will come out of the openings. once you have the bolts removed for the regulator the window should come down to a place you can remove the bolts that attach it to the regulator. After the window is unbolted side it back up and tape it up and out of the way. you will need to likly use the old motor on the new part but it just bolts to the regulator. Once you have the moter on install it in the door. Good luck

Water dripping into front, passenger floor-board when AC is on
The A/C drain is located on the bottom of the firewall on the passenger side. It should be easily found from under the car.
