The '02 Mitsubishi Galant does not have a serviceable turn signal flasher. The flashing operation is control by the Electronic Time Alarm Control System (ETACS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The ETACS ECU is located behind the left side of the dashboard, attached to the fuse junction block. It receives power from Multi-Purpose Fuse 2 (7.5A) located in the same junction block as well as from Dedicated Fuse 8 (10A) in the engine compartment relay box. Abnormal turn signal operation could be caused by a faulty turn signal switch, wiring or the ETACS ECU. so you wasted your money on a fuel pump.. now take it to someone who can actually troubleshoot and repair the problem you have...its cheaper sometimes to pay
Look in your engine compartment for damaged vacuum hoses. Your problem seems to be a vacuum leak. Hoses may be unplugged , split , ripped , broken from heat source, cracked. Take your time and look closely at every hose , I think you will find your problem. Good Luck Friend.
Not likely.. Check the bolts at the thermostat... most likely didn't get them tight enough..tip of you replace a thermostat always buy a fail open thermostat .. Fail close ones kill more cars then you would believe.
I hate to have to tell you this, but the 2.4L (4g64) is an interference engine. That means when the timing belt broke, the pistons hit the valves, causing at least a few of them to bend.
here is the overhaul section of the factory service manual for the 2.4L. its technically from the eclipse manual but it will work for the galant. The intake manifold and exhaust manifolds may not be the same but the head, block and timing belt sections are exactly the same.

Are you talking about heater core? My labor info for 3.0L galant says 5.8 hrs. So the cost depends on what the shop charges for labor? If a shop charges 100 bucks an hour, that is almost 600 bucks and that's labor. Parts are extra.
-You mean you see oil inside the radiator. ? If so then head gasket is blown or may be the head is cracked. Now water and oil are mix together.
-Do compression test to find out. If no compression then it need to be rebuild.

Your vehicle actually has two fuel pump relay's ! You can view fuse box diagram here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter your vehicle info. year , make , model and engine size . Under system click on electrical distribution ,then under subsystem click on junction block . Then click on the search button , then the first blue link . Scroll down you'll see fuse box diagram . Do you know how to do electrical testing where the relay plug's into the junction box ? Check for B+ voltage , control from the PCM / ECM or ECU what ever Mitsubishi call's the engine computer . The computer will energize the fuel pump for two seconds to prime the fuel system , it won't turn it on again untill it see's a input from the crankshaft position sensor while cranking the engine. Possible dirty throttle valve and idle speed control valve.
Throttle Body Cleaning on vehicles without electronic throttle control (most 2003 and down)
You can in most cases repair this slow speed stall or unstable idle by cleaning the engine throttle valve and the idle speed control valve using a product called CRC Spray Throttle valve cleaner. Spray the cleaner into the air intake of the engine with the hose removed from the throttle body, the engine will try to stall so hold up the idle speed manually. Once you have used up about 1/2 can of the cleaner stall the engine out while spraying and turn the key off, disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 minutes and then reconnect and drive the car for a about 25 miles of varied driving modes. If this doesn't cure the problem you may need the fuel injectors professionally cleaned by the dealer service dept.
gear oil is not the problem because it you started a cold engine and let it idle for a while (5 minutes) the gear box oil will thin out
IN correct oil generally shows as slashing gears when changing as it prevents the synco rings from operating properly
I f you have a hydraulic clutch ,it indicates a problem master cylinder and you are pressurizing the system to compress any air that should be bled out properly
If there has been no clutch system maintenance since new , or within the last 5 years ,it would be ideal to take it to an accredited brake and clutch specialist shop and have both the slave cylinder and master cylinder replaced
