Car won't start motor turn over but wont start

The fuel pump gets power from fuel pump relay. Its like this. The relay gets power from battery, but relay is controlled by ecu.The relay is a 12 volt part. The relay ground is controlled by ecu.------ So there are two possibilities, for the problem. The relay is short/ faulty or the ecu is problem.------- The fuel pump relay is located in the engine compartment fuse box under hood. First check the relay. If there is 12 volt on relay, with ignition ON.If there is no 12 volt, then by pass the relay by a jumper wire then start the car and see, if it runs then relay is the issue. But if same problem then ecu is the issue. It has to be replaced.------ ----------- Click this link for location of Fuel pump relay:---
http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/07/where-is-fuel-pump-relay-located-on.html --------- This should help.thanks.Helpmech.

Audio code

If you need the radio code for your radio then you need to go to Mitsubishi for that. the only people that can give you the code for your radio is in fact the manufacturer of that radio. (which in your case is Mitsubishi)

Hi, my girlfriend's 2001 Eclipse 6 cyl. is

Check to see if your radiator coolant fan runs with the A/C on. It should run constantly with the A/C on, and even with the A/C off the fan should come on when the coolant reaches 220 degrees or better and stay on until it cools down below 200 degrees.
The problem is that you're not getting enough ambient air through the radiator.

My sons 2001 Eclipse spyder

From what you're describing - you're definitely going to replace the clutch disc. If it was slipping as bad as you're indicating then additional damage could have been done to the flywheel, slave cylinder or master cylinder. The extent of the damage (present or not) won't be visible until the transmission is removed to examine the clutch disk/pressure plate, etc.

Good Luck.

The fan works but the needle goes to high

Hi,
The best thing would be to change the thermostat, it is located normally on the intake on the block, just 3-4 bolts or nuts and the thermostat housing splits.

While you are at it, you could flush the coolant system with regular water.

Remember to make sure that coolant fluid is in the whole system after replacing thermostat, top up the reservoir, squeeze all coolant hoses so there is no air trapped anywhere in the system.repeat until there are no more bubbles coming up.

Good luck.

Has a hard time starting

assuming there is nothing wrong with the engine internally ,timing belt is timed correctly etc motor is not locked up from lack of oil etc the starter could be defective and drawing more current than the battery can supply or the battery cables have bad connections or internal corrosion that you can not see i would check the connections on the battery and clean them first then follow the ground cable to where it attaches to the first frame connection remove it and clean the terminal and the frame then follow it to the last ground believe its at or near trans bellhousing and do same , you could remove the starter and have it tested, you can but a replacement battery cables from dealer but it comes as a complete harness but exspensive

How do you replace an

Assuming you're talking about the lower oil pan...it's very simple

1. Lift at least the passenger front side of the car using a jack, jack-stand, and blocks on the rear wheels

2. Drain the oil out of the pan by removing the drain plug (just like an oil change)

3. Remove all of the bolts on the outside edge of the oil pan (should be about 11)

4. After all of the bolts have been removed the oil pan is free to come off. It might still be stuck on and a few gentle taps with a rubber mallet with knock it loose. Be aware that there is still some oil inside the pan, so this step will be pretty messy

5. Clean the surface of the engine where the oil pan was mounted against

6. Take your new oil pan and place the gasket around the rim of the pan (if not using a gasket then put liquid gasket around the rim. This is important to ensure the pan doesn't leak)

7. Place the oil pan on the engine and bolt it back on. Start by tightening on bolt, then one as close to 180 degrees across from it. Repeat until all the bolts are tightened.

8. Fill the oil pan with new oil. You may also wish to remove and replace the oil filter.

9. If you used liquid gasket, give it a few hours to set (look at contained for a recommend amount of time to wait). If you used a rubber gasket, you don't need to wait.

10. Start the engine and check for leaks. If you notice any oil leaking from around the seal then turn the engine off, go back to step 2 and then repeat from there on. If you don't see any leaks, you are good to go.
