2001 Eclipse 2.4 Liter, when RPM go below 1200, oil light comes on. Changed oil pressure sensor/switch. Other ideas?

If your oil is clean and not sludged up where it restricts oil passages, then your low oil pressure may be caused by worn crankshaft bearings. Does it burn any oil? Lotta miles? You need to know the true oil pressure reading. Have it checked with a gauge and go from there. Your oil pump may need replacing, or sometimes a good top oil treatment may clear out the passages and restore oil pressure. Good luck.

Starts but cuts right back off what causes this

When you try to start your engine, some "security" or "alarm light" turn on in dashboard? If YES, then you will need to scanning the computer. You most likely have a problem with the immobilizer, this senses the radio frequency of the key, if it gets the wrong signal, it will shut off engine after about two seconds (more or less); you can try a spare key and see if it runs, if not, it will need to be reprogrammed, this can be done by the dealer. If other light or "check engine" turn on, same tging, will need scanned the PCM to know what fault codes is stored there to solve it. Hope this helps.

Turn signal handle

is it broken or not working? if it is broke you possibly have to remove the air bad steering wheel and clock spring to facilitate. once changed ensure your wheels are straight and recenter your clock spring or you will damage the wiring in it. then your horn and air bag might not work or will short out causing a fire or blown fuses of air bag.

My mistubishi eclipse GT 2001

The mentioned problem could refer to 2 things, O2 sensor or "clogged" injection system.
If the car changes the RPM dinamically then it would be O2 sensor, often stalls. Regarding clogged injection, preliminary try to rev to higher RPM, if that is the problem fast you will see the difference (maybe solves the problem, maybe will require cleaning.

Heater blows cold air

I had the same problem with the heater only working when accellerating. Found the overflow tank pick up tube was kinked. This of course made my coolant level low. So when the cars hot the coolant would push into the overflow, but when the car cooled the kink would prevent it from flowing back to the radiator.

You have a blown headlight fuse that controls the low beam headlights. Look in the fuse/relay box under the hood.

Coolant sensor is bad on

Hi there,

Diagnostic codes # P0115 to P0119 all relate to the ECT (Engine Coolant Temp) sensor circuit.

Assuming you have correctly diagnosed a faulty ECT sensor, here are the instructions to locate and test:

* Look for a bolt size sensor with a wire attached - on Mitsubishis, the ECT sensor is usually located either on the Intake Manifold, or close to the Thermostat housing (to measuer coolant temp).

This is what is looks like:
wolfman304_63.gif

* To test the ECT sensor:
wolfman304_64.gif
* With the sensor portion immersed in hot water, check resistance as per the table below (convert to degrees F if necessary):

wolfman304_65.gif
* If the resistance is too far out of spec, then replace the sensor.

Cheers,
