In your car Electronic Stability Program system included many different sensors (yaw-rate sensor, steering angel sensor, body acceleration sensor, some more) if ESP visit Workshop message appear on your instrument display It's very hard to say witch sensor could be the fault without right diagnose most common faults are either steering angel sensor or yaw-rate sensor might be some other sensors if you replace yaw-rate sensor it's need to be calibrate by diagnose computer, if replace steering angle sensor it's need to do right way otherwise when you tern steering wheel fully left or right it will brake at first time then you have to be replace another one so like to advise you to get right diagnose and repair buy Mercedes specialist if do some thing wrong it's be more cost to you if you get right place to do it only you have to pay once.

open the door and you will have to release the latch by doing it manually
either by going up or down
have a loock at your mabual if you have it
sometimes you may have to use some force but it is worth it
many times this happened to my bbot
if not than you will have to release panel as '' string'' may have broke or come up dislodged
by the way when doing manually try the handle on the outside as the same time to release latch

If your talking about running an engine that is low on oil. Of course it is as oil is what lubricates moving componants that can get quite hot not to mention all metal compoants basically touching each other.

get some one to check it over first i had a 190e with 250000 miles on it and still ran like a dream as long as its running ok has a service history and there are no obvious signs of trouble i know of mercedes that have over 1 million miles and are still going strong literly bomb proff but like any car you get good and bad in all but check that its not stolen if they have replaced ignition etc

have a load test done on the battery to check for failing cell. remove the earth terminal and place a amp-meter in the circuit to determine the current draw to find the unit still on
