How can i reset the security system on 2006 impala
Follow these steps to reset the security system on your 2006 Impala:
• Get in the driver's seat, and put the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position
• Let it be in the same position for 10 minutes
• Repeat the process two more times, and the security system will stop acting up.
Remember, if your light power up with the ignition and not with a separate lever, you would have to put a charger on the battery as 30 minutes of this process may drain it out of a reasonable amount of juice.
How do i lower the rear seat in my 2006 impala
First fold down the rear head restraints by pressing the button on the side of the head restraint. Now you can fold your seat down in either of these two ways:
1. Pull the button on the top of the seat to unlock it from its position; you will notice a raised tab when the seat is unlocked
2. Depending on the type of seat you have, you can lower it by pulling a lever on the right side of the rear cargo area.
Remember, the seat belts should not be fastened when you attempt to lower the seat.

SPECIAL TOOLS NEEDED TO INSTALL A NEW REAR WHEEL BEARING ON A 2006 CHEVY IMPALA LTZ WITH ABS ?
none really, metric wrenches or sockets, a breaker bar, w jack and jack stands, flat blade screw driver, and a pair of needle nose pliers, to remove the drum holder to get at the wheel bearing assembly.
remove tire then locking washers, remove rotor, using breaker bar, loosen bolt then remove the abs pick up, it is a 10 mm socket, put out of the way, and then remove the bolts, you might have to use a hammer to get wheel bearing to come free from housing.
reverse the procedure to install
What size are the two front axle nuts on a 2006 Impala LT 3.9?
Rockauto on the internet, I looked up spindle nut, it showed 34 mm.
I can't guarantee that is correct. Hopefully the autostore isn't too far away so if you get the wrong size socket just take it back and switch it.
In the past, I was changing out halfshaft on different vehicle, bought a new socket for old spindle nut. Turns out the spindle nut on the new/rebuilt halfshaft was a different size, I was not happy.
2006 chevy impala battery dead
I drove Volvos for 17 years. Finally learned that a New battery had a short. Meanwhile, I'd changed out alternators. Switched it to a generator. It was a bad battery, from the get go. Just a thought.
