i have two vauxhall astras a 54 and a 05 and both have the same problem the horn will not work if the lights are switched on.
The problem is in the loom in the steering wheel, it requires removal of the airbag and a new wheel loom to be fitted. The loom costs about £15.00 I think.

I have a 2006 Chevy Aveo Hatchback. I need to replace the fuel filter. Is the fuel filter external to the fuel pump, or will I have to replace the whole fuel pump to replace the filter? Thanks.
If the fuel filter is mounted inside the fuel tank at the pump it does not need replacing and is a permanent filter. All you have to do it follow the fuel lines from the fuel tank to the engine. If the filter is mounted in the fuel line you will find it.

'06 chevy aveo vacuum leak at the intake manifold. Is this a common problem with the aveo's? Can it be sealed without removing the manifold? Also, are throttle position sensors a common problem with aveos?
Proper resealing and problem resolution (warpage, etc.) cannot be done without removing and inspecting...
TPI sensors are problems on many cars, not a huge deal....

How do you replace a throttle position sensor on a 2006 Chevy Aveo
This is a picture of your throttle position sensor. It is located on the throttle body, where the air inlet tube enters the intake manifold. Simply unplug the wires, remove the bolts holding it in place, and replace it with the new unit. Hope this helps!

Past 6 months, whenever starts engine getting low rpm'(fall below 1x1000rpm') which seems like the engine slows down & eventually shuts off. I normally steps little fuel to keep it above 1x1000 rpm before drove off. Last week, I'am getting Éngine Light On'indicator and when scan DTC shows P0342. Again after drove for few days, this week the indicator no longer light up. But now still getting weak sounds when starts the engine. Anyone can help to advise :: 1) is it just dirt at the CAMSHAFT sensor or really need or faulty need replace ? 2) is due to battery weakened , need replace ? last replace is Dec 2010 . 3) any problem with engine that giving low rpm ? - Pls help.
Hello! The trouble code is telling us that the voltage to the Camshaft Positioning Sensor (CMP) is low...The connector that plugs into the sensor could be open, the sensor itself defective or low battery input to the sensor...See diagrams below as to sensor location...Lets eliminate...The wire colors in the CMP plug are...Pink...Black/White...And Light Blue/Black...If you connect a voltmeter to the Pink wire you must read 5 volts...Push a safety pin into the rear of the in-place connector into the Pink wire so it contacts the pin that the wire is crimped to...(+) probe of meter clipped to that pin and (-) probe to bare metal chassis ground...Key on...Meter set to read 5 volts...If 5 volts is present that eliminates a battery fault...Next push the safety pin into the Light Blue/Black wire...Turn on key...(+) probe to that pin...Should read about 2.4 volts...If you read nothing, or less than 1 volt the sensor is defective OR the connector pins to it are fouled...Pull plug and inspect both male/female pins for oil...corrosion...etc...Radio Shack sells a product called DeOxit...It's the best (no touch) spray contact cleaner...Send results...PS...Best meter to use is a digital one...$20...Guru...saailer
Remove engine cover:
CMP at top of drawing with timing chain cover removed for clarity...

while driving gas pedal will have no resistance and car will not accelerate. check engine light turns on and off. don't know if throttle needs to be replaced or just cleaned.
Here is what meens those codes:
P2106
Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited Power
P2110
Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited RPM
P2135
Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A"/"B" Voltage Correlation
P1516
Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance
I beleive that there is, specifically for chevrolet aveo 2006 a technician service bulletins.
You should have it checked at gm dealer!!!
