How do I change the oil sender
Which motor do you have? the V8 requires, according to the shop manual, that you remove the intake manifold. This is a big job suddenly. have you put a code scanner on the car and determined that the sensor is bad? If you are unfamiliar with what to do and how to go about it i suggest going to a local garage and asking them to advise you. They will at a minimum give you a quote with the parts and labor and that will definitely clue you in. You may also Google the job with the specific engine (etc.) and see what you find. Again, you must include the details or you will not learn anything of real use.
Spedometer and Odometer erratic
This sounds like a problem in the dash cluster itself. Have many problems with what are called "Stepper Motors" in the dash that control the gauges. Would need to remove it and send it out for repairs, or have it replaced with a new or refurbished unit.

MY OIL PRESSURE GAUGE GOES
At idle, the gauge usually reads about 40, when engine revs up, the gauge will go up to about 50 or 60. This totally normal and you should know that the reading on the gauge is just made up by the computer because the engine does not have an actual oil pressure sensor.
The oil gage on my 2005 chevy trailbaizer is
Most likely the oil pressure sending unit is going bad or has a loose connection, but it would be safe to have a manual oil pressure test done to be sure it's not a problem with the oil pump.
Speedometer gone haywire
GM had gauge cluster problems from 2000-2005. Bad stepper motors. On those units you have to replace the cluster or rebuild it with new stepper motors. Dealership fixed mine for $150.00
Fuel gage doesn't work
I went to a dealer, they replaced the fuel level sensor (p/n 19177712 SEN KIT 3.107 $118.62) with labor $270.00 for a total of $398.86 this appears to have fixed it for now.
khooper, in another forum, told me that "Chevron Techron Fuel System Treatment Plus can remove harmful sulfur deposits from the sending unit and a filmer agent that can prevent the deposition of said sulfur"
I also talked to another mechanic who blames ethanol for these deposits !
Gas gauge does not work
If it's not acting quirky, replace the stepper motor on the back of the guage. Easy and cheap. If it's intermitent, replace your ignition switch. Both are common problems with TB's.
Oil pressure gauge at 0
It is a possibility but I would check for sure. The oil gauge on that unit is electric not mechanical, you need to remove the sender or find a oil hole port on the side of the block and test the oil pressure to be sure it has oil pressure, if it is then it could be the sender or the wires going to the computer control. 2005 may be under warranty, however do not drive it till you know for sure. I don't remember if they still had the kill switch on that year or not, if the switch was reading zero the engine would not start so it could be something simple like a corded wire or as you said the sending unit. Hope this helps and if you need more help write back or do a chat or e-mail to get more help. You can look up the part at
www.advanceauto.com and see what it looks like and get the price list for the thing and look to see if it has one two or three wires before you ever open the hood. if it's a three wire it has a kill switch if it's two it's not. if it's one it gets the signal from the computer and your problem may be the computer. However I don't know if it is still under warranty or not and weather you want to fix it or not. Let me know if you need more help. If you need the procedure for removal please respond to this post. Thanks for using fix-ya. I hope this helped.
Fuel gauge not working what do i do
well it could be a multiple of things whats most common is the sensor in the tank which tells you how much fuel you have and that could be bad. in which case you would have to take out the tank to replace it also gm did have a problem with their gauge clusters as well hope this helps

05 trailblazer chugs at 48 mph
Hi, what do you mean by chugs at 48 mph ? Doesn't it go any faster then 48 mph, does it lose power, bog down when you press the gas pedal to the floor. Does it have a misfire , that makes the vehicle buck and jerk ! Is the check engine light on or any other lights for that matter ? How many miles are on this trailblazer ?
