I have a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer ES 2.0L that has a problem starting. Battery is fine & if you push start it it'll start 4-5 times with the key then not start. Replaced starter and the problem remains

When you start the Lancer, does it actually turn over and start? Or does it sputter while you're pressing the start button? This is what I would start with. First, I'd find your fuel regulator and follow the vacuum line that leads to the engine - then unplug that. Find some extra tubing or rag that you can replace that plug with to keep it sealed. Then, if you're car starts running, you'll know its just a bad regulator. If that doesnt work, the second thing I'd try is pulling off the air-intake and spray some brake cleaner in there to see if it will start. If that works, then you have a fuel leak or clog somewhere thats preventing your fuel from reaching the sparkplugs. Hope this helps-

I have a 2005 mistubishi lancer ralliart 5 speed,

The high viscosity ensures transfer of lubricant throughout the gear train. Some modern automatic trans-axles (integrated transmission and differential) do not use a heavy oil at all, but lubricate with the lower viscosity hydraulic fluid, which is available within the automatic transmission.

Cut the outer hood release cable sheath (under the dash) back to expose the inner wire cable, then using a pair of locking pliers (Vise Grips) pull on the inner release cable while another person pushes down over the latch area of the hood to relieve pressure on the latch and make it easier to open, the hook is released lubricate the hood latch and hood latch striker with white Lithium Grease (AKA "Lubriplate")

I have a CS 2005 MITSUBISHI LANCER AND MY CLOCK, RADIO, INTERIOR LIGHT AND CENTRAL LOCKING HAVE STOPPED WORKING. ALL THE FUSES HAVE BEEN CHECK BOTH INSIDE AND UNDER THE BONNET AND THEY are fine

Your vehicle has similar signs that some VW's showed in the early 2000's. Depending on where you live, here in the Midwest, we found a main wiring harness that ran under the inner edge of the driver side, under carpet was exposed to salt and water during the winter. This caused connectors to brake and cause many issues. As for your issue, seems that all these components may be sharing the same electrical circuit and therefore not working properly.

Overheated. Why does it just spin and won't start?

Depends on hot you ran it. Probably blew a head gasket.

Cannot accelerate when pressing the pedal just iddleing

If this is a "fly-by-wire" car, gas pedal may have failed or not be in sync with throttle. This can happen when throttle gets dirty and sticks part way open. If not FBW car, insure gas pedal is operating throttle body blade.

What is an immobiliser

  1. An immobiliser or immobilizer is an electronic security device fitted to an automobile that prevents the engine from running unless the correct key (or other token) is present. This prevents the car from being "hot wired" after entry has been achieved and helping to reducing motor vehicle theft.

I have a 2005 Mits Lancer. Gas release will not pop open the gas cover. I have to use flashlight to keep in open position, then get out of car to manually open cover. How can I fix this?

The answer is to replace the cable that flips the cover. What's most likely happened is that the cable has rusted in the lever mechanism under the carpet. This happens because of water getting in through the floor. Remove the drivers seat. When the carpet is up, look for rusted out metal plugs (about 30 mm in diameter) in the floor. Replace and fix any rust or leaks. Replacing the cable can be tedious, usually requires removing the trim in the trunk, and often taking out the back seats to get access. A garage would charge 2-3 hours of labour to do this job.
