2005 Mitsubishi Lancer - Page 7 Questions & Answers
My 2005 Mitsubishi oz rally
I checked for Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's) and Recalls for your vehicle, but I found no TSB's related to your problem and the only Recall that has been issued for your vehicle is for a problem with the headlamps.
I can only offer 2 pieces of advice at this point:
1. If it feels like the engine RPM is not correct, i.e too slow or erratic when you are coming to a stop, I would be taking a hard look at the Idle Air Control Solenoid (IAC) These can fail and never set a code.
2. You may want to have your engine computer scanned with a scanner that can check "Vehicle Specific Codes" There may be codes or pending codes stored in your engine control module that have not yet or cannot turn on the Check Engine light. Some of these types of codes are vehicle specific and most generic OBD code readers can't even see them. I have many times found several codes stored without the Check Engine light being on.
Post a comment to let me know how this turns out, or if you have any related questions.

Condensation inside car (Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 Equippe 4dr)
You might want to check to see if your heater core, which is located under the dash and inside the car, is not leaking. Look to see if you have a wet rug on the passenger side. If it is not leaking then try turning you vent knob to outside air and not recirculating.

Hi!
All you need is to check the for the proper level and the red color of the fluid, which means the oil still good and your owner's manual will tall you exactley when and usually at 60.000 Miles.
Hi I've just discovered that there is a leak in my
No quick fix...sorry. unless it is in one of the compression fittings on your compressor...condenser...etc. Sometimes the cooling coil under your dash or next to your fan blower can develop a leak and that can be very expensive. Sorry to give you this bad news but thanks for using FixYa.
Car keeps overheating don't seem
Start by replacing the thermostat with one that has the same temperature range. If it continues to overheat have the cooling system flushed and the coolant replaced especially if the coolant is a dark or rusty color.
2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Brake make crunchy grinding
Most car post 1990 production, have a warning device, that will warn the driver, just prior to the front brake pads being completely worn out. The Mitsubishi Lancer is no exception. This warning device may not be included with non O.E.M brake pads. This may sound expensive, but the SAFE solution, would be to replace the front brake pads and brake rotors, with genuine Mitsubishi O.E.M. parts. Again, this may sound expensive, but can you put a price on safety?
My son didn't check his brake fluid and now the
Fill the master cylinder reservoir and bleed the system. With any luck it will pressure up and work. The fact that it lost fluid means that you may have a bad seal on the slave cylinder or even the leaking master cylinder. If you notice a leak you might consider rebuilding or replacing the offending part. If you have lost the fluid out of the system , it is probably only a matter of time before you lose pressure again.
I have mitsubishi lancer 2006.
I do not think the misfire is related to the repair. You could take a trouble light and look/feel around under the hood to see if a vacuum line is not plugged in or a wire connector has been left unhooked or loose. Then I would try and find a good fuel system cleaner (I recommend Chevron Techron) and run a tank of gas through to see if you are just dealing with dirty fuel injectors.
