Got creaking back suspension on lancer estate

Usually A rear trailing arm bushing causing this noise .This bushes get dried out and cause such noise.First try lubricating the bushed and see if that helps, if not then this bushes needs to be replaced. .If this bushes get cracked then in most of the case the trailing arm needs to be replaced.------- Stick it up on the ramps, get under there with a can of WD-40 and spray every suspension joint you can see .And see if that helps,Also check the hubs.A loose hub nut can cause this problem.-------- Getting this bushings checked will help. There are many other lancer users facing this same creaking noise from rear suspension.-------- The culprit is bushings, get dried and worm out.in some cases lubricating helps, in other cases it needs to be replaced.------ This will help.thanks.Helpmech.

Have a 2005 Mitsu Lancer.

You could change the whole thing if you wanted too but I would recommend that you go to another shop. A good mechanic should be able to locate the problem and repair it for you. Sounds to me like the dealership is trying to get more money from you than need be. I have never heard of anyone having to change out the entire front end of a car. Find someone with more knowledge.

Good Luck to you.
