hammer a long socket over the locking lug nut. then use a breaker bar to spin the socket, along with the locking lug off the wheel.

Honestly it could be anything, there are many reasons why the check light comes on. Best to take it to your dealer if still under warranty. Or your local mechanic if you have one you trust. Get them to run the diagnostic on the vehicle and see if it is something serious. Best not to drive it to much, most likely it will be in limp mode. Which means it has limited driveability.
When i start my car it makes a loud noise when starting up
tmaraj: Due to the fact that you were not specific as to which engine you had, I researched the Technical service bulletins on all the Jetts for that year, there were 7 engines available and came up with one specific engine which somewhat fits what you describe as the problem. This is a Jetta with a 1.9 liter diesel.
The TSB talks about an exhaust popping and resonance that becomes more audible under certain rpm during the catalyst warm up phase of a cold start. The solution requires the VW to re-program the ECM. They may possibly do this, IF YOU ROCK THE BOAT A LITTLE because it was an engineer defect, at no charge. It doesn't take long to do.

Hi there, The emission control light can come on for many reasons There are many sensors which
the ECU ( the cars computer ) gets its imformation from to control the engine and therefore the
emissions eg. Oxygen sensor, airflow meter,inlet air temperature,water temperature etc.
The best way to find the fault is have a diagnostic check done ( code reader ) this will find the
problem and avoid guess work which will in the end save you money.
One of the common problems with VW is the spark plug coils, but to play it safe and get it checked

I have a 2005 new
look to the end of two side there is luck around remove .out then with screw driver remove the old and new then fix and lock , make sure the lock is complete in
My A/C stopped working.
The bad seal on the fan relay/controller would explain the fan failures, not the rest. The solder mount failure would cause a clear failure of the compressor - it would stop - so it's not the cause. A computer connection problem would trigger the engine failure system and would register as an error code - no code = no connection problem.
From what you describe it appears that there is moisture in the AC lines - they will have to be vacuumed and recharged. If the problem returns after that then use a leak solution and identify the failed part or connection.
