1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse camshaft not lined up with crank timing out
Remove the cam cover, or also called the valve or rocker cover and make sure that both #1 cylinder valves are closed. The cam lobes will be off of the lifter or rocker at this point. Remove #1 spark plug and verify the piston is all the way up at the top, and then check your marks. They should be aligned. No matter how many marks there are, the two that are nearest one another will be the ones to go by. In the future, and dab of nail polish or a permanent marker on the pulleys or sprockets should be made before disassembly. Let me know...
1998 eclipse 2.0l dohc, starts but no run, has fuel, new head/belt and spark
If it pops when trying to start then you have installed the timing belt incorrectly. When replacing the timing belt you the camshaft and the crankshaft have to be lined up correctly. If they are not then you will get the pop out of the exhaust and the intake when the spark plug fires and either the intake or exhaust valve or valves are open. If it is a high interference engine you will bend valves as they hit the top of the pistons because the valves are compressed and extending into the cylinder. I guarantee you your valve train is out of sync with the crankshaft.
Turn key on and like dead battery but battery is ok
one of three things here i think ,either immobilisor ,try the spare key or the starter motor is not working maybe the switch on the back of the ignition lock or a relay ,in all honesty i would need my head under the bonnet to know exactly what fault this one is .
2006 impala passenger door won't open
have someone from the outside pull the handle up while you pound the door from the inside. the latch became frozen from lack of lubrication. once open, spray the **** out of it with wd40 or pb blaster and work the latch till it moves freely
Car has no fire to spark plugs and fuel pump
I have run into this problem on a friends' eclipse.I found the main relay/fuel pump relay assembly to be defective. My car would not start at times, then be fine if I tried it 15 min. later. See if the check engine light comes on when you turn the ignition to"run"If it doesn't I'll condemn the relay. It is located in the console, below and to the right side of the radio.
Chevy Impala Door lock issue
Which is it, 98 Eclipse, or 06 Impala? Either way, your door lock actuator is stuck in the locked position either electrically or mechaically. The way to check this is to remove the door panel and unplug the actuator. If door lock can now be moved then you have an electrical problem (faulty door lock switch or faulty door lock module). If you still cannot unlock door then actuator is mechanically bad and must be replace (usually the case)
My car had problems with the battery running
The first thing we need to know is which system is your Eclipse equipped with? Are we talking about a factory system or an aftermarket system? If it is factory, is it an "Infinity" system? (If it is, it will say "Infinity" on the radio face.) This makes a HUGE difference because the Infinity system has a separate amplifier. Then, there are several fuses that provide power to your stereo system. Did you check ALL of them? Also, did you check to see if the fuse actually has power? (with a test light or multimeter) or did you simply "look" at it to see if it was blown?
