When I idle, i hear

I recommend taking the vehicle to a mechanic to check the oil system. You should not have to put oil into your car that frequently -- it probably has a leak in the system, and fixing that should help you out. While they are checking for leaks, you should also have them take a look at your oil pump -- if your pressure is always low, you probably have a weak pump that needs replacement (or the pump itself might be where you are losing the oil -- which would mean a new pump would keep you from losing oil as well as help stop the ticking and the pressure problem. You can probably go to a junk yard and get a used oil pump pretty cheap -- if you are confident in your skills, you should be able to replace it (probably for less money than having a mechanic look at it) so this might be a good first step. If that does not solve the issue, take it in for a check-up. If your oil system fails while you are on the road, you can ruin your engine and end up costing yourself a lot of money in the long run.

The automatic transmission is stuck in 3 gear.

Definitely, there's a problem with your transmission. You are right, it is overheating. It is
caused by worn out part inside your transmission.
Have it checked by a qualified mechanic.

My pajero manual transmission 4WD has a clanking

hi.
a transmission problem when hot, but ok when cold, would suggest that the oil in the gearbox is getting too thin when it heats up.

you say that the transmission has been pulled out but do you know if the oil was actually changed in it.
if the oil has not been changed, drain it and replace with the specified oil.
if it was changed recently, then i would consider using a thicker grade transmission oil instead.

changing gearbox oil, is normally a matter of removing the drain plug on the bottom to drain the old oil, and then refilling using the level plug on the side of the engine.

My car wont rev

Need to take a code check to see the parameters of the engine. It can be a possible fuel, fuel pump or faulty injectors that is primary to the fault. Secondly the firing intensity , the firing/fuel timing can be off set.
Make sure that the engine performance is set accordingly so that it turns over with good power.

Low battery charge rate what could it be

also could be a bad cell in battery, can have battery checked by a parts store for free, if you have a voltmeter you can test power output at startup with someone turning the engine over while you hold pos+ and neg- side of meter on the appropriate side of battery if voltage is below 9.6 volts w/o a load, while starting, battery needs replacing.

Brake lights and dash lights

Hi, you may have a poor ground or you're just drawing too much current through factory wires. You may want to consider running a totally independent wire directly from your battery. 10-12 gauge wiring would be good. But as a temporary fix, you can try replacing the 10amp fuse with a 15 amp fuse. That will allow more current to be drawn through the factory wiring.

How do I eplace the front rotors on a 1997

jack up the car, first break lugs, and remove tire. There are two bolts on the front back side, if it like are endeavor then I compressed the caliper piston and then I had to take apart the caliper as the old pads did not come out, those are the two bolts on each end. then put back on. Once the caliper is off the rotor will come off as it is held on by the caliper. Just be careful with the caliper once it is removed as it is a brake line, you can use a hanger for it does not pull on the line when it is off the rotor. Good Luck Tim

pretty common on sun roofs over 10 years old( on any vehicle ), the rubber weather-striping needs replaced,if you look at it closely you will see where its cracking, broke and/or getting hard ( not soft and pliable anymore.) which allows water to get in, you can get new weather-striping at your local dealership parts department( they might have to special-order it).
