Sounds like a head gasket problem.

start by checking for a lose vacuum line that is what it sounds like to me u may have pulled one lose and not have seen that u did

Check the fuse under the drivers side dash. Then check the plug for the motor on the passenger side for voltage with a multimeter. If you have power the motor is bad. if you do not have power you need to check the resistor pack which shouldn't be to far from the motor plug. Its more than likely bad if you do not have power to the motor. It controls the speed when you select it from the controls. Hope this helps.

Locate it by following the fuel line from intake manifold.If it is an injection car the filter should be a metal can with an input, and a output with goes to the intake manifold ..And it should be located prety close to the engine.

Are you using the right oil thickness ??It could be the hydralic valve lifters that are "tirred" and if you have to thick oil the presure might be to low .. And it could also be the answer of why it stops when speeding up the Rpm since the oil pump then makes a higher presure.

Sears automotive use to have the tool to take them off if the lock was lost,It looked like a socket and you just hammered it on then took it off with the impact gun.I have done this myself with a junk socket almost the size and hammer it on and use an air impact gun to remove it.

Find the fuse box, it`s in it or very near it....

if it has low fuel pressure it will not run right,you need to check that first.
