if no power is going to the fuel pump, its most likely a fuse or relay. if it goes to the pump and the pump does nothing,new pump time my friend haha good luck and hope this helps

check fuses my 1997 mitsubishi mirage had same problem and there were two seprate fuses under the hood. also you can google the locations to all fuses

Replace oxygen sensor 1 close to the manifold.

How about TPS sensor[RPM].Air filter,fuel filter.

For car not changing gears it can be shifter assembly issue, or it can also be transmission issue. Get the shifter assembly inspected with ignition OFF.

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

ENGINE MISFIRE

There are few possibilities that can cause engine misfire issues. It can be issue with spark plugs or faulty spark plugs. Also get the compression test done for cylinders. If any of cylinder shows low compression then required, then that particular cylinder will cause misfire.

Also get obd codes scanned, the error code will let you know which cylinder is misfiring or all cylinders are misfiring.

Take notes , when this happens.
For instance : engine warm or cold , outside conditions (cold , hot) , car driven for a while , long or short distance when problem occures etc.... , that may help for diagnosis.
It very well may be temperature relaited , sience it has to sit (cool off) for 5 min.
Ignition coils sometime do that.
I'm mechanic shop owner and intermittent problems are the hardest one , so any piece of iformation on above mentioned events may give a clue.

The plug location will be shown in the owner's manual, but it always inside the car, below the dash somewhere. 96 eclipse rs back tail lites and dash wont come on i changed the combination switch ,fuses,relays and bulbs and it still dont work what else can it be?

you have to buy a new slave cylinder.

It is not the TCM, it is a failed transmission.

just to ask did you check the timing 3 times, ie turning engin by hand then check the line ment.? and doing it again until the marks are right adusting if needed.

Sounds electrical try replacing battery and then alternator if nothing changes. Out side of that it could be plugs, spark wires, distrubuter cap, or even your ecu.

Your tail lights, license plate ights, and side marker lights are protected by the same fuse that supplies power to the dash lights. Hint: if your other lights are working, the fuse is NOT blown and you don't have to spend time looking for it.

The next thing that deserves mention is the fact that the dash lights are controlled by the dash light rheostat (dimmer switch). Make sure you don't have them turned off with the switch.

If after reading the above, you still think you need to find the fuse, it is fuse #5 (15 Amp) located in the dedicated fuse and relay box in the engine compartment. It is most likely marked "Taillight Relay".

Here is my advice to you. Take this to a shop. Tell them you would like to fix the vehicle yourself but need help diagnosing the problem. Most shops will charge you about 50 bucks to do this and some might even do it free for hope of future business from you. Depending on you skill level they will guide you through the process. One hand washes the other on this so I recommend using that shop for problems you can't handle yourself.
