Easiest way to get the alternator out of a '97 3000 gt sohc?

Manual says to remove the radiator but if you remove the bolts holding the radiator and push it out of the way it is possible to remove the alternator through the top but it takes some work to wiggle it out.

I have a 97 3000gt sl.. I am experiencing an electrical problem! When I turn my car completely off and even open the door the radio will still stay on as well as the tail lights and side running ligh

Yes, electrical problems are very difficult to trace. My wild guess is that someone did some recent repairs to the car. Possibly a crash and body repair. In the process of the crash some wires were "shorted" between power supply to the ignition switch and the devices that are malfunctioning. If this is true, take it back to the repair facility. If you did something in DIY repair, triple check your work. Do a very careful visual inspection of all the wiring from the battery to the ignition switch. I like to use the new led flashlights in the dark to follow all the wires. You may also have loose connections that are shorting to these aberrant devices.

Parking break is loose or broken. Need to know how to tighten or repair. It seems as the weld has broken as well. It engages, but I have to pull the parking break very far

If your parking brake is loose than you have to take off your center console box. Leave the parking brake off and when you take off the box you will see the cable from the handle connecting to two cables that go to the back. You can adjust from there. If that doesn't solve it than it might be broke and you'll have to check everything

97mitsubishi..3000gt overheating

Have you had a chance or have your mechanic check the thermostat (control) and/or the coolant pump ? If any of them is not working, the coolant will not circulate (properly) and hence, it overheats.

Battery won't jump start

Might be that but if you heard crackling I would chech all wiring behind fuse block to make sure there is no short in the system which can cause a fire, unusual to hear fuses blow.

3000gt will not turn over after replacing battery

Check all of the wires coming off of the battery. Look for any that may be loose or badly corroded. Repair or replace as needed. If that doesn't solve it and you are sure that the battery is good, check the wiring at the alternator to make sure that there are no loose wires there, since that may have been what killed the battery. Good luck.
