you have to line up all 3 of your tjmjng marks.Is your engine single head or double overhead cams The marks have to line up.Firstyou have to remove the belt.Then remove harmonic balancer to get to the timing gear sprocket.It has a blade attached to it with 3 fins in between the fins is a little dip that is the crankshaft position.align that dip with the mark below the crankshaft position sensor.then you have to do the same with your camshafts.Then replace the belt and spin the the crankshaft clockwise to the aligment mark they should all stop on their marks.

Take the vehicle to Autozone and have it scanned for codes. Its usually free. then tell me about the code that was found and I'll get you threw it.

Have you figured this problem out yet? I am think the relay fuse going to the starter is out, as I have a new battery. I am trying to look for a diagram for the relay fuses, that may be what you need also.

May need a clutch adjustment or not enough gear oil in in the tranny or worn shift forks.

Go to the autogauge web site they might have a free downloadable instruction on pdf or html.

You will feel a loss of power

If you have a boost guage your positive pressure boost will be lower than normal and the bearing may make a squealing sound if it's going bad.

Lost power and Black smoke?

You have a Failed MAP Sensor and / or the vacuum line is off or cracked.

The ECU thinks the engine is under full load and is getting all the fuel it can to the engine.

Most likely cause is a hydralic tappet. Mits are well know for top end noise. Note we are talking about a tapping or clicking sound not a knock. You can try using an engine flush product if the noise is getting bad and then changing your oil. Generally if the oil is not changed regularily eventually the tapping noise gets happens.

check for voltage at the small start wire on the starter when cranking the engine--you will need someone help. If there is no voltage you may have a bad neutral safety switch ,which is on the trany shifter.you have an automatic trans i assume.
If so try putting in neutral when cranking.

there is a fuse for the gauges try changing it!!!
