Engine cut out at 4500 to 5500 rpm while you are driving.

Check your fuel pressure, and see if your exhaust is flowing right. If exhaust is not flowing good then your catalytic converter is stopping up. Low fuel pressure would be because eather fuel filter, or fuel pump. Also check your air intake filter and your fuel ratio.

It just stopped running and will not start.

Timing belt could have slipped, and now you're timing is off? You have to take it into a shop that has a diagnostics scope.

What would cause a belt to keep breaking in a 92 eclipse gs?

The tensioner is too tight, readjust it to the specification in the service manual using a torque wrench.

I have a 1992 mitsubishi eclipse that is getting no compression on cylinders 1 and 3 how do i fix it without replacing entire motor

You *most likely* have bad valves in those two cylinders. If adding an ounce of motor oil to those cylinders and then compression check again and still no compression then remove the cylinder head and replace the valves or replace the head with a rebuilt head.

Battery new over night goe,s dead 1996 Chevy lumina

I would suggest getting a muleteer with a 10amp current option. Pull all the fuses and relays. Disconnect the negative battery cable and place the multimeter inbetween the negative battery post and the negative cable. You may get a small amp draw for the computer. Start replacing the fuses and monitor the amp draw. If you have an excessive draw when you first connect, it probably is an alternator issue. good luck.

Car says its the cmp sensor but i have already replaced it

Take the Camshaft pos sensor back out and clean where goes, if there is debris in it, it will not read properly and will throw a code also check the wiring, and go to another parts store and ask to see the part, they may have given you the wrong one, it happens all the time. The GS and GSX parts are not interchangeable even though they bolt up. hope this helps you out I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/brock_d67526d2a834c47e

92 mitsubishi eclipse 1.8l, fuel pressure build up

I had that exact same problem with my 92 Civic. Same symptoms. After trying the coil, distributor, wires, computer, and half a dozen other things, I remembered the "Computer coolant sensor", a $ 12 part on e-bay.Fixed it right up. On this car, it was a brass sensor the size of your thumb mounted just under the distributor. If you mean to say that "whoosh" sound when you take your gas cap off, I think that might be a vacuum instead of pressure, and it is there on purpose for the emissions system, I believe. Be blessed.

well the low cost way to go first would be to try and change the trans fluids. If the problems still remains the it may be an internal problem

My 1992 mitsubishi eclipse engine is shaking

firstly is it petrol or diesel? Petrol try looking for a shorting out HT (plug lead) or that you have the leads on in the right order could also be a duff spark plug or EMU problem, check the leads and plugs first and also any wires going to coil unit. If its diesel then its probably an injector fault.

1992 mitsubishi eclipse wont go

If this is an automatic, I'd suspect a transmission failure of some sort.

If a manual 5-spd, or the engine just won't rev, then there are several possibilities:
1. a fuel problem (fuel pump?)
2. the timing belt has slipped and the valve timing is way off.

Could be the front or rear brakes have jammed. Are any of the brakes getting VERY hot as you drive?

It seems like one of the cylinders is not firing.

first need to check if fireing or not , your saying it seems to be? Try removing plug wire with engine running and hols a inch or two away and see if you here the engine idles down , if so it's fireing if not may be coil weak, good luck.
