Try this first ygere should be two sticking out knobs on the dash you push one to reset milage the other ajusts clock so itsvthe one for the milage reset turn that one either waybthis brightens the lights onbthe dash including the miles back lights ect yhe speakers shouldent make a bit of difference he,s trying to flees you for money any stero should fit any speekers you might not get the quality withbthem being bose speakers but it will sound just as good as any other stero i have kenwood in mine and i swear by them

all you have to do is to call the parts department at your nearest mercedes benz dealer and give them the vin number of your car and the serial number on the radio and they will give you the code, some dealers may ask you to bring the car to them but they will charge you, that is good to do if you don't know how to remove the radio of the car which i believe in that model is by inserting four pins in the holes that the radio has at each corner and the radio pulls out easy. You can buy this keys that are u shaped at any autoparts in the car stereo section and should cost you no more than $5.00 dollars they are supposed to be for Ford cars but they work for Mercedes Benz as well. The dealer should give you the code for free and they will tell you how to enter it on the radio so that is the best inexpensive way to fix it so good luck with your car and please let me know how it went.

It is most likely (99% probability) jammed from dirt and debris over time. you must disassemble and clean the latching mechanism. It is not broken, only jammed.

This sounds like the throttle positioning sensor (TPS) is going out. Could also be a bad O2 sensor or partially blocked EGR valve. Start with the TPS, then got to the O2 and EGR.

check for vacuum leaks at the engine.

In the back of your owners manual they list approved fluids or approved fluid types. Mercedes has more up to date lists on the websites. Yours should be a Dexron II type but verify with your manual or dealer (call parts department and ask, they will tell you but service manager won't have a clue). You have to double check as the 90's were transitional where they went from the older style fluids to full synthetics in everything.

your fuel pressure between 30-35psi is showing good at the moment. If you due suspect bad fuel pumps try and drive the vehicle with the fuel pressure gauge attached to monitor if it does drop when driving. Also make sure you have spark at all the spark plugs as a bad coil or a bad spark plug connector could be bad. They are available separately. You can also confirm this by doing a resistance check across the ignition wires. The ohm value should be printed on the spark plug connector. Generally they are about 2k ohms. No spark at one cylinder could cause the same symptoms but usually sets a code. The fuel pump will usually sound louder then normal when they are about to fail. Since there are two fuel pumps for the vehicle it is possible one of them is starting to fail. The throttle actuator can also cause drive ability problems but will generally cause the ASR light to come on. I would also look at the distributor caps and rotors as a potential cause as they can cause your symptoms with no check engine light. If possible drive the car with the fuel pressure gauge attached to monitor fuel pressure and with the engine at idle start pulling the spark plug connectors off and on to make sure the engine stumbles every time. Usually your Mercedes dealer can get you a code for a nominal fee. They usually require the s/n off of the radio, and the VIN off of the car.Check your owner's manual, just to be sure the sticker isn't in there from the original owner.

leave in situ and put on charge with a 4 amp charger and leave it alone for a good two days to de sulphate the plates and charge the battery ,disconnect the earth lead so you dont damage any computer with a slight AC ripple you always get with any battery charger unless its a solar panel

make sure all doors be close,then press the left side of the fuel cap and it will pop open.

I believe the door is hinged about 1/3 of the way back. If you press on the door toward the front of the car it should swing open. Make sure your doors are not locked because it also locks the fuel door.

The window position is monitered by the softop control module. It sounds like the glass is very dirty and drawing too much amperage during window operation. The soft top is electro hydraulic. The roll bar is operated normally with hydraulics but it is mechanically released in an emergency situation. 1st make sure your windows are clean and the express(one touch operation) is working-the soft top will not function properly if the windows are not synchronized. Next be sure your roll bar works-hold swith in up position to lock roll bar rams in if they have been deployed. next put your top all the way up. untill windows roll up and try it with the engine running and trans in nuetral- if it still does not work mechanically secre rear of top with tool provided in your tool kit the owner's manual will tell you how to do this. good luck

Sounds like a short in the brake light circuit that overloads the alternator.
I'd check / replace the bulbs for brake lights.

I had this happen once...
When you brake...your brake lights come on.
BUT, because the bottom of the bulb or bulbs have shorted, this provides a path for your running lights and dashlights to come on as well and the short tends to overload the alternator causing the flickering battery light.

Because the alternator is taking an overload like that...I'd have it and the battery checked for proper performance.

I'll bet the back bulbs or bulb sockets need attention...

Hi, battery is in the trunk/boot (depends what side of the atlantic you are on) and is on the right hand side under the carpet

Hi, if you can twist it while pulling, it should come out easier.

I would disconnect the battery for about 20 min. to reset the computer and see if the light turns off. I don't see how replacing the cylinder would make those lights come on but sometimes cars have a mind of their own.
