The engine and the automatic transmission in this vehicle are computer controlled and in most cases when a fault occurs a fault code is stored in the memory of the computer control module. Other basic checks must be done as well such as mechanical problems with the engine as well as engine state of tune and mileage on the engine. u should be able to sqeeze the sides of the glove just far enough to get past the stops of the glove box. then u should see the access to the filter

Loose/worn Constant velocity joints (CV Joints) on the outer drive axles maybe. have a front wend shop check them,.

Try some octane boost. if that dose not help it can be your Fuel pump, one of your spark plugs, or a coil pack. the idling up and down can also mean bad timing i would have your car looked at but you can try the above first
