You need to have the axle straight out from the transmission and then apply a quick snapping motion with a large heavy wrench or hit the back of the CV joint with a brass hammer while a helper holds the axle straight out from the transmission case. Also check youtube there are many video clips about this repair I'm sure.

Bad earth usually at the radio remove and check.

Usually you can just remove the + wire from BATT that goes to the fuse panel. After about 5 mins. reconnect cable and it should be reset.
