2000 Suburban 5.3 awful racket. when truck is coming to stop And when rolling, from stop, if no throttle is given, then idle rough jerking. Any knowledge shared is greatly appreciated.

It sounds like your 2000 Suburban with a 5.3 liter engine may be experiencing some engine or transmission issues. The noise you are hearing and the rough idle and jerking when coming to a stop or rolling from a stop without applying throttle could be caused by a variety of factors, including a problem with the ignition system, fuel system, or the transmission itself. Some potential causes for these symptoms include:
  • A malfunctioning ignition control module
  • Faulty spark plugs or ignition wires
  • A clogged fuel filter
  • A faulty fuel pump or fuel injectors
  • A transmission that is low on fluid or has a malfunctioning component
I recommend having a mechanic diagnose the issue in order to determine the root cause of the problem and recommend the necessary repairs. It is important to address any issues with your vehicle as soon as possible to avoid further damage and to ensure your safety while driving.

I have a problem bought 2000 Chevy Suburban it came with a 5000RS-2w Plus Series in manual I would like to know WHERE the Override Button is. Everything work fine but when I use the Remote Starting it start for about 10 sec. Then stop it try two more times like manual said. But I think the Engine Run Time not program. Need help and again where override switch.

Sounds like this is an aftermarket added on remote start system. If thats the case it will need looked at in person to find the issue. Unfortunately a lot of people that install aftermarket electronics are not qualified to do so and cause more problems

I changed trans. Fluid on perfectly good tranny and lost 4th gear! What went wrong? 2000 suburban 4L 60

The only way your gonna loose just 4th is to break a sol. Or unplug a sol. You probably lost both 3rd and 4th though from low fluid or it was on its way out.

Tow and haul button don't work how do i check it

More than likely the wires are broken at the base of the column shifter. If they are you need to replace the shifter. You can also extend those wires to a momentary switch and mount it in the dash somewhere.

2000 suburban- replaced battery. security light on and won't start?

Did you try a relearn ? 30 Minute Re-Learn Procedure
  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).
  3. Observe the SECURITY telltale, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn OFF.
  4. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.
  5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes ( the vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock?"¢ Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK).
  6. Important: The vehicle learns the Passlock?"¢ Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.
  7. Start the engine (the vehicle has now learned the Passlock?"¢ Sensor Data Code and/or password).
  8. With a scan tool, clear any DTCs if needed (history DTCs will self clear after 100 ignition cycles).
Hope this helps you out ! good luck

Heater doesn't work but air does

You most likely have a bad sensor or broken activator arm to the door in to the heater box that open and closes when you switch from heat to air or visa versa... It sounds like it is open to the air and wont react to the heater control to go back ..is a common problem in the gm line of trucks and suvs...need to have a mechanic take a look..the sensor is a Fairly easy job and not too expensive..however the broken door mechanism is another story requiring some dashboard removal..good luck
