It will go to the spring loaded part that touches the steering wheel ,which runs on the brass ring.

Hate to b the one to have to tell u but "usually" underneath the airbag. Atleast that was the case with my pontiac. A few yrs back.

On top of the fuel tank , need to lower fuel tank to get at it !

Trans jerk is a sign of wear and tear. You don't say how many miles its done? Is the trans fluid level correct? When was it last serviced? Have you asked a good home mech/garage to ride with you to see fault?

check for a loose connection, could be on the a/c side.. maybe someone pull a wire to change a battery or something check around..

Hey Allen, Your Cooling System is may be Underfilled or has Air Pockets.

• Make sure car is not hot to check the coolant/antifreeze level. Be safe, as coolant can cause burns/ injuries to you.

• Also Thermostat may not be open fully when car is running for a while.(hot). Replace as necessary

• Have it checked by a mechanic. System may need Bleeding.

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? To check codes, yourself, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader. Some of the national brand autostores will check codes for free, if there are any.

Check for body damage to the metal in the roof or door gasket not mating with the roof well.

the whining noise is your engines alternator bearings they are worn out , the alternator is close to failure it is barely producing any voltage ( the battery light in the dash only indicates that the alternator is no longer generating any amperage )

check for loose objects in the boot and seat area (jack-wrench etc) check for loose shocky mounts check for loose /worn suspension mounts. check for loose hand brake cable hitting under car

Put in any gear except neutral or park if it starts it's bad.
