Hi i just bught my
this is the check engine light does it come on then off? did it stay on? if this light is comming on any one of a hundred or more thing can cause it. from a loose gas cap to a sticking sensor. you might want to have it hooked to a computer to see what is causing it might be a minor problem like low washer fluid and it could be the start of a serious one. these lights remind you of scheduled maintinance, low fluids, oil changes ect depending on the manufacturer standards.i would check all of the fluids and if they are ok then get it checked better to be safe than sorry
Idle problem
Try to disconnect the Air Flow Meter. It is the first plug just before the air filter/air intake box. If this improves your situation you will need to source a new or aftermarket Air Flow Meter.
Car Horn
Hi djdecks,
I would think that the problem is more likely to be on the hot side of the horn operation, than on the earthing.....Power is fed to the horn and is grounded, completing the circuit, when you press the button....Check first on the horn relay and follow it from there.....I don't believe the problem will be behind the steering wheel, unless the horn sounds all the time....

Do I need to torque the cam shafts
If you are asking about the cam shaft bearing caps, the answer is a most definite YES! I can't remember the exact measurement but believe it should be 12nm.. When bolting down the shafts, hand tighten each cap, pulling the shafts down evenly and then when all caps are fully closed use a torque wrench to complete the job. Regards John

you can fit a new one from scrapyard but you will need the chip from the key and the transponder to make it work ,a new one in dealers is around a 1000euros and a dealer will not reprogramme a secondhand one for you as they only want to fit a new one (profit) Unless you can find a local auto locksmith who can reprogramme the immobilisor for you but for him to do this you will need the chassis number of the donor vehicle so he can get the 4 figure code to reprogramme the key to the ECU immobilisor .
