Hi Nolan, The best advise I can think to give you regarding the identification of the correct cables is as follows. Get hold of a part finished one and a half volt battery cell (AA or AAA) Presumably you have located the cables and tried to pair them already? Using the battery hold one cable to the negative side of the double or triple A cell and touch and release the other cables to the positive side until a thudding sound is heard. Once heard tie the two cables together and mark which position with a label or masking tape. Go onto the next until all cables are identified and positions marked. If the cables were fitted through an amplifier and have been cut off from there you have a fairly large problem. Using the same method outlined, trace the end of the cables where they come into the trunk (boot) and connect a speaker to each. Use the same method of identification outlined. Once complete. trace the cables going back into the cabin. Be very careful to identify and connect the correct cables by making sure using a test meter or lamp that the cables you find do not carry any voltage. When testing do so while operating all electrics which can have circuits in the vicinity. Regards John

the fusible ling near the battery would be the main suspect. These are normally a ceramic type holder and have a high amp reading on them

Where is the battery located in a 1990 bmw 7
For an 1990 735i, under the back seat, passenger side. To get to it, you must grip under
the cushion of the backseat (near the floor, not seatbelts) and pull
upwards. There are three latches that you must disengage on the left
middle and right. it requires a nice amount of strength to do it, but
it can be done, usually standing up in the back facing the seat gives
nice leverage.
I hope that work for your model and all 7 Series. Good luck (remember rated this help).
