I would look at a head lamp relay replacement from the same car you picked the headlamps up from.

put car up on stands ,must be stands for security then place a wood board against wheel rim and then hit it with a 14lb hammer ,then it will come off .when putting other one on make sure the inside of the wheel hub where it contacts the wheel hub is well greased to stop it corroding on again

more than likely the throttle body and idle speed control valve are sludged up, clean them with a spray can of throttle body cleaner from any good parts store like NAPA or Carquest.

check the splines to see if there is a flat area that lines up with the shaft, turn it till it lines up, sounds like your not lined it up straight to me.

what's an oil shell? no worry if very little

Chec your manual for locations of fan relays & fuses. It could be fried already.

can you be a bit more precise? on what you require..do you require surpentine belt layout? an actual picture of the engine?..

You can get hte codes from this BMW by turning the ignition key to the run position and then press the accelerator pedal to the floor 5 times, it will enter the diagnostic mode, count the flashes just like obd 1. Hope this helps, let me know

If all windows stop workin at once it's a relay .. That can be found under your steering wheel after you remove the panel... This relay you gotta get it at a dealership if your local auto zone don't got it... Its called a comfort relay or a power window relay... Might be blue or gray.. Call the dealership tell them to transfer your call to parts then ask away on your realay... Remove it and give them the part number theres 1 or 2 numbers on it if im correct its the longer numbers you give to them... Make sure when they pull it up on there computer its the right 1... For power Windows .. And if you got a sunroof it'll be for that too. Depends on your model Bmw.. Well good luck and Hope this helps...

You can't use a tool to pull codes from an '87 BMW 325(e). You have the 2.7 liter and your DME, or computer is a Motronic. If you had a 325i, then a tool could read the codes because the computer was upgraded that year to a Motronic 1.1 system with a round plug in under the screw cap on the driver's side under the hood. The only tool you can buy is the one for resetting the service interval light and resetting the oil change light. To answer your question about going about finding your driveability problem would be to get a BMW Bentley Manual. This manual shows you how to use a standard voltmeter to check everything from your computer plug in. Your computer is located above the glovebox.

How to set up radio without wiring diagram : First you need to hook up the lead and ground power wire to your radio.(the lead usually has a line all the way down it). Turn power on to the radio and switch to am/fm. Locate any lead speaker wire and connect it to front right -. Then take all ground speaker wires one by one and touch them to front right +. As soon as you hear a sound, find out which speaker it is coming from, as soon as you have identified correct speaker remove wires from right speaker and mark them carefully. Do this with the rest of speaker lead wires an speaker ground wires and you will be able to connect your stereo.
