Replace the bad Wheel Hub Bearing

My 1984 bmw 325e DASH BOARD LIGHTS dont work
Check a couple things:
1. Verify that the dimmer switch for the dash lights isn't in the full dim position (it turns off the dash lights).
2. Check your fuse panel (in the engine compartment) for a blown fuse.
Battery bran new, Alternator brand
I would start at the positive terminal on the battery. Is there a separate wire to the clamp carrying the current from the alternator? It should have a fusible link in it (may not be obvious, could be just a thick spot in the wire). If the problem is not there, you will need to trace that wire forward, checking for voltage everywhere the wire is visible (poke a sewing pin through the insulation to get voltage reading)..

It sounds like the driveshaft carrier bearing is bad, Once you reach speed the centrifical force of the driveshaft centers it and the noise goes away. Most noticable at take off.
Shifter-loose.wont-go-into-2nd.
You will need to remove the shifter and have a look witch bushes on the shifter is worn and replace those bushes.It is not a very difficult job and can be done by your self.

How did you tell it was only sending spark to # 3 cylinder. Could be bad plug wires or very badly fouled plugs if indeed electrical, or could be an issue with the injectors or fuel system. If not sure. One quick way to test is get an inductive timing light to see if you have a spark pulse on each wire. Please give me more infor and I'll see how to help.

SPEEDO~ check the cable remove the intrument panel and access the cable going into the odometer, remove it , pull cable out check it for fraid ends and lubrication IF its not fraid , use PB Blaster or WD40 on the entire cable and reinstall, if still not working correctly you will need to remove it at the transmission end and inspect the little gear.
Reset on this is done by a tool that resets it in the engine compartment, if u dont have the tool u need to ground for 10 seconds the #5 pin, DO NOT DO THIS if u are not sure how to, ALSO need to know is it a 15 pin or 20 pin connector?
