How do you jump start a 2006 750 with battery in

Under the hood of your 7Series there is a metal terminal near the passenger side close to the windsheild. It should have a red cap with a PLUS symbol. Remove the cap and attached the positive side of the jumper cable. There is a large nut to the left of the terminal that is for attaching the negative side of the cable.

My Battery is completely dead.

You do not need to access the battery to jump start your 7 Series. There is a metal terminal under the hood for jump starting your car or jumping another car. It is located near the passenger at the rear and has a red cap with a PLUS symbol on it. Remove the red cap and attach the postive side of the cable. Attach the negative side to the large nut just to the left. Also, to open your trunk manually insert the metal key in the key hole next to the button that you push above your license plate.

I have 2006 750 LI

Hi Butler296,

I would recommend double checking the door panel at the top where the shade travels and make sure that the leather material is not coming loose. If it appears to be ok, try reinitializing the rear window by raising it all the way up, and once up holding for approximately 7seconds. Also, there is a built in safety feature that will not allow the sunscreen to automatically raise if the window glass is down.

I have a warning that

  • It means the low beam is out on the left side of your vehicle. You will need to replace the bulb and things will be back to normal.
  • Changing the bulb on this vehicle is more troublesome than most vehicles.
  • I think on the 2006 750Li you have to actually loose the bumper a bit to get to the headlight to wiggle loose. Some of the newer BMW's are made so the bumper comes up on the bottom of the headlight assembly just enough to make the bumper have to be loosened to be able to get the headlight assembly out enough to change the bulb.

What coolant do i use

After a bad experience with long-life antifreeze, I now use only BMW coolant in all four of my BMWs. You can buy it on line from a place like Pelican or Autohaus cheaper than you can get it from the dealer.
Like any coolant, it should be mixed 50/50 with distilled water.
