2005 Chevy Avalanche. Can anyone help me with instructions on how to install the resister?

Question edited a bit for clarity. Question moved from Cellphones category. Not sure what you mean by 'the register'. That is an old fashioned name for a heater radiator? Do you mean something to do with the heating system, like vents of blend door actuators that control heat and cold direction? or a window regulator. https://www.google.com/search?q=2005+Chevy+Avalanche+window+regulator Click Comment UNDER my Answer if you need further help. I have a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche and got a charging system failure code pop up then all my Guages went limp and as fter a min it turned off.. what happened and how do I fix it?

alt died then in 30min driving the battery dies and engine stops the engine run off the ALT full time until the ALT dies causing rapid battery discharge. and engine stalls. do not replace the alternator with battery NEG lug connected of blow up ALT FUSES, never fun that. or on newer smarter alts , it shuts down if 1 battery cell of 6 goes open or shorts, this prevents battery explosion. so we load test the battery first. then if good the alt is bad. or we test the alt next. this failure is super common , for 100 years. we test the both carefully the alt good will put 13v to 15vdc on the 2 battery lugs. even at idle, and any dmm meter made can see that.

My 2005 avalanche heater fan with auto climate control stopped working. The fuses are all good, and the fan blower tests good by hooking it direct to battery.

There is a resistor in the fan circuit to give you different speeds and it burns out. It's down by the fan on most cars.

My 2005 avalanche will not engage into four wheel low

Try shifting the shift selector into Neutral first then try engaging 4wd low. If that doesn't work try shifting into 1st gear and then try engaging 4wd low. The information is inside your owners manual but if this doesn't work please let me know. Also is the light on for which mode your truck is in (2wd or 4wd high)? If not, you may want to check for a blown fuse.

Hard start

Testing the fuel system for pressure an leak down , hooking up a factory or professional type scanner an checking engine sensor data , doing injector flow testing , testing electrical circuits ,Test the fuel injectors resistance with a ohmmeter. Your best bet take it to a qualified diagnostic technician . A lot of parts could cause your problem (sensors ) . We'd only be guessing without testing an that causes parts that don't need replacing to be replaced . 048 Engine Hard to Start or No Start Scan Data for Starting Problems

2005 avalanche electrical issues

The first place to start would be to have a qualified repair shop hook up a factory or professional scan tool an check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored in the BCM - body control module . The body control module (BCM) performs multiple body control functions. The BCM can control devices directly connected to its outputs based on input information. The BCM evaluates this information and controls certain body control systems by commanding outputs on or off. The BCM control inputs can be: • Sensors and switches that are directly connected to the BCM • Class 2 serial data received from other control modules connected to the class 2 serial data link The BCM is also capable of controlling other vehicle systems that are not directly wired to the BCM. The BCM does this by sending specific messages on the class 2 serial data link. The control module capable of performing the required function will respond to the BCM message. The BCM controls these functions: • Audible warnings--Refer to Audible Warnings Description and Operation in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console. • Automatic door locks--Refer to Power Door Locks Description and Operation in Doors. • Automatic headlamp control--Refer to Exterior Lighting Systems Description and Operation in Lighting Systems. • Interior lighting--Refer to Interior Lighting Systems Description and Operation in Lighting Systems. • Keyless entry (AUO option)--Refer to Keyless Entry System Description and Operation in Keyless Entry. • Passlock theft deterrent--Refer to Vehicle Theft Deterrent (VTD) Description and Operation in Theft Deterrent. • Retained accessory power (RAP)--Refer to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) Description and Operation . Then if no DTC'S , pick one of the systems messing up . Test electrical circuit , using a wiring diagram an a DMM- digital multi-meter . 2005 avalanche Fog lights are staying on with

The fog lamps are computer controlled .the body control module (BCM) will energize the fog lamp relay control circuit. The BCM receives the park lamp ON signal from the interior park lamps supply voltage signal circuit. DTC B2527 Front Fog Lamps Circuit Low The body control module (BCM) monitors the front fog lamp switch signal circuit in order to determine when the fog lamp relay is to be energized. When the BCM senses that the front fog lamp switch signal circuit is grounded momentarily by pressing the fog lamp switch, the BCM energizes the fog lamp relay by grounding the fog lamp relay control circuit. Your best bet , take it to the dealer . Could need BCM replaced , would need to do testing using the Tech 2 scan tool . A new BCM has to be programmed . Body Control Module (BCM) Replacement If the body control module (BCM) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed in the following order: BCM Reprogramming--Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Computer/Integrating Systems. Important: This procedure has to be performed only for vehicles equipped with the Passlock™ System. Theft Learn--Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components in Theft Deterrent. A new BCM will learn the Passlock™ information automatically, but the powertrain control module (PCM) must still learn the theft information from the BCM.
