Wheels lock up? or steering wheel hard to turn? I would say you need to check your belt and tensioner.
Vw convertible 2006- rear signal bulb. I removed
Tap on the end of the stud that the knob was removed from. The housing should push out from the outside fender. Using a rubber mallet works best. Also check to see if there are any spring clips insed the trunk.
Drivers window makes alot noice to open
The rubber scrapper seal is pushing too hard on glass... open window fully, slide fingers down between inner and out rubber scrappers (where the window has dropped down into) and try to make the gap bigger.
Then clean the window(s) with household window cleaner or vinegar and old newspaper.. dirty windows can cause friction.
Do this job as soon as possible as you could break the window motor.

High pitch squeal when steering
UHM TO WHAT YOU DESCRIVE ITS LOW ON THE POWER STEERING IS LOW ON FLUID. CHECK IT AND ADD AS MARKED. HOPE THIS HELPS. IF YOU TURN THE WHEELS BUT IS NOT THE FUILD BEEN LOW. CHECK YOUR SUSPENSION BALL JOINT'S FOR BEEN DRY OR NEEDING LUBE. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.....

This is an emissions item take it back to VW it might be under warranty. You know one of those Federal emissions warranty.

How do I change the driver's side headlight in a

open the bonnet. you will see a plastic handle . above this is a sort of button which has to be pressed. the button normally has white paint on it and has a hatched pattern on it and is square. while keeping the button pressed, gently pull up the handle. this will release the headlamp forward out of the bumper. from there you can remove the cover on the back and change the bulb. when refitting , make sure the handle is up and that the lugs on the lamp sit into the runners.
Just replaced engine battery and now check engine
If nothing is wrong, it will take 3 - 4 start up cycles for the ECU recognizing a no fault and it will shut off the check engine light on the dash. It is normal when the ECU senses a sudden voltage drop and call a DTC. So give it time to reset itself.
