2006 Pontiac Montana SV6 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Pontiac Montana SV6 engine chugs at 80 Kms
It is usually coming from the spark plug wires( leak spark). Spark to ground or piece of metal.
To find out exactly take an empty spray bottle fill her up with water and add 2 tablespoons of salt. With the engine running a light spray of the mix on spark plug wires you will see the spark leak and proof the spark plug wires have a defect. if so replace all spark plug wires that should solve your problem.
Hope it helps.

I suggest you try one of those instant download manuals. My nephew bought one for me when my car broke and we could fix it all by ourselves with the manual costing $10. This website reliable-store.com is very good for this.
?Try it.

Engine overheating on low rpm
Could not agree with you more - was thinking that it was a circulation problem with coolant when you mentioned your suspicions.

Driving over small bumps gets loud bang from rear end
My honest opinion here is that if you took your car to someone to fix the problem and they didnt, you should really get all sorts of pissed off at the person whom told you it was fixed. They will try and get you to pay, but stand your ground and be firm. If nothing else they should give you a good discount aon their solution to the problem and let them know if it doesnt fix the problem then you will not be paying anything. I hope this gives you some guidance and best of luck to you.
Sincerely,
JC

My thermostat went to zero and the screen said, "air off to protect engine" what does this mean???
First thing I'd do is replace the thermostat, they're usually in the rad cap, but check the owners manual to be sure. I'd also do a rad flush in case there's problem with the coolant itself. While you're under the hood, check to see if any belts are loose, or if any hoses seem to be leaking. You could also try a bottle of rad flushing fluid - $10 - $20, because there may be a blockage somewhere in the cooling system. Hope that helps, best I can suggest without seeing it in person.
