2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Replaced blower motor, now runs continuously.
Run's continuously ? High speed , low , med 1,2, 3 . ????
Probably the high speed relay contact's stuck closed . The fuse for the high blower is hot at all times , low blower fuse is hot only with key on. It sparks becaused the motor turns on . If it had a short the fuse would blow . The blower motor relay is part of the resistor pack near the blower motor .
2000 Intrigue won't start, no
Sounds like there is a bad fuse somewhere. Not a pcm problem, but could be bcm. Check ignition and bcm fuses with ohmmeter.
Interior Lights, Radio, and Gear Indicator Light on Cluster will not turn off when power is connected
The door actuator ,door ajar switch has nothing to do with the
Gear Indicator Light on Cluster .
Did you have the BCM programmed ? Can't just replace this without programming . Having the BCM check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes should have been the first step in the diagnostic's for this problem an testing power an grounds . Is the door ajar light lit on the insturment cluster ? If not ,it's not a door actuator or door ajar switch .
Important: Perform new BCM setup when you replace Body Control Module (BCM). Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .
Fuse Block
Right side of the IP, in the right front door opening
RAP relay ,contacts stuck closed . Right I/P fuse box ! Open the passenger door ,at the end of insturment panel pull plastic cover !
I HAVE A 2000 OLDS
Not true, Do not cut any wires. If the torque converter stays in lock up mode it will stall the engine when stopping. Perform An OBDII scan for fault history. Never base repairs on hearsay. Always approach car problems logically (what changed?, What parts are subject to wear and age?) Let the OBDII print out be your guide to avoid buying parts you don't need.
2000 olds intrigue - while
Fuel filter...maybe. More likely a cam position sensor or throttle position sensor. Have a code reader check for codes to pinpoint the problem.
Daughter called me ..car wont
it sounds like you have blown fuse to the Alternator.. I don't know what car you are talking about but they charging systems vary.. But if alternator isn't getting all the power it needs it won't charge. this should be checked. good luck
Turn key, nothing happens
It could be the park/neutral switch, next time it doesn't start try wiggling the shifter in park while turning the key, or shift to neutral and see if that will work. if that doesn't change the problem I would replace the ignition switch.
2000 Olds intrigue overheating
i have a 2000 olds intrigue thats been overheating alot lately the other day my drain plug for my radiator came on the way to work so i lost all my antifreeze on the way, i got to work and wound getting another plug to replace...the one that came out...topped off antifreeze...anyhow i go home and car overheats on the way home...i took it to a radiator shop today and they checked for, leaks, checked the water pump, pressure tested it...and they told me that the only thing they found was a airlock, but however the guy did recommend taking it to a mech and having it checked for a blown headgasket, so i go home today and i noticed my temp gauge going up and down on the way home it would get hot then cool down then get hot again...the car did eventually start to overheated so i pulled over and let the car cool down...i know this is getting frustrating, so do you have any recommendations or solutions as to whats cause the car to overheat.
