P0421 = Warm Up Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
This means the HO2 (Oxygen) Sensor downstream of the catalytic converter on bank 1, is detecting that the converter is not working as efficiently as it should be (according to specs). It is part of the vehicle emissions system.

Rapid and repeated clicking when the key is in the crank position is usually a sign of a dead battery. How did you check the condition or charge of the battery. If you have w volt meter hook it up to the battery and read the voltage when you try to start the car. It should not drop below 12 volts. If it does you have a battery that is low on charge.

One single click when you turn the key to the start position is usually and indication of a bad starter. More specifically a bad starter solenoid which is part of the starter. This is usually a pretty common problem. It's usually just that a sensor needs replacing but the best thing to do is go to a mechanic who can check it with a scantool to make sure exactly what it is. A mitsubishi dealer should have the tool and the right software for checking your car.
I want to change two belts (A/C and Alternator) on
First, feel the tightness of your belts. You will have to tighten the new belts to the proper tightness. If they are too tight, they will wear the bearings prematurely. If they are too loose, they will slip.
Alternator Belt Removal
- Loosen the alternator lock nut.
- Loosen the adjuster bolt.
- Rotate the adjuster bolt counter clockwise to release the tension on the belt.
- Remove the belt.
Similarly for the compressor belt

Loosen the lock nut.
- Loosen the adjuster bolt.
- Rotate the adjuster bolt counter clockwise to release the tension on the belt.
- Remove the belt.
5. Install the new compressor belt
6. Rotate the adjuster bolt clockwise until the belt is tight like it was before you removed it.
7. Tighten the lock bolt.
8. Install the new alternator belt
9. Rotate the adjuster bolt clockwise until the belt is tight like it was before you removed it.
10. Tighten the lock bolt.
11. enjoy life
