GAS SMELL FROM REAR OF VEHICLE

any check engine lights?most autoparts stores will scan your computer for free because they want to sell you the parts. I will go way out on a limb and say you may have a P0449 or P0442 code for the EVAP system. Can be a simple fix and google/youtube will be your friend on how to swap it out. Hope this helps. There are many parts for this system under the hood all the way back to a can near your fuel tank, so get ready to learn about what does what in the EVAP system. If it's something else (no codes) let me know

No heat just cold air

Is the gauge showing the engine is warming up to normal temp ?Are the heater hoses getting hot ?If the heater core is getting hot, it could be a blend door problem. The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and the ac evaporator among other things.

They just stop working all together

The instrument cluster in this truck is a computer and they may have a no cost recall on them for this model and year, call the dealer with the VIN. If your model and year is not on the recall list then you need to remove it from the dash and send it out to be rebuilt/repaired and all the current upgrades installed, and there are many. You can send it out to many sites on the net they also will send the special packing box to return it to them. Here is one such site that repairs the clusters..

Heated seat not coming on

Does the passenger seat stay on and heat up? If so the drivers seat heater grid (just the same as an electric blanket) is shorted or open and that causes the system to switch it self off. To replace the heating grid requires the seat cover to be removed and the grid replaced, this is best left to an automotive trim shop, they are cheaper than the dealer in fixing this kind of problem. The part will need to come from the dealer if still available.
