03 mitsubishi galant stumbles on heavy acceleration and surges real bad what it could it be?
Have you had the engine control system computer scanned for fault codes? If not do that now. Also get a fuel pressure test gauge from an auto parts store and hook it up and monitor the fuel pressure while you are driving, when you accelerate the pressure should go up but never down, if it does you either have a bad fuel pump module, or a clogged filter or a defective fuel pressure regulator (that is least common)

Hi and welcome to FixYa!
Pretty tough location I understand. Please try to remove positive battery connector and let it sit for atleast 5mins. then reconnect it again. This will reset the car's computer and can get it back to it's normal operation. If the problem still persist I strongly suggest that you have the car scanned to know the fault and sensors to be replaced.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Have a GMC 2004 XUV
Hello
Your truck is equipped with what is called an active ABS brake system, this means the brakes system is pressurized by a hydraulic brake control block that has a powerful electric motor that pump brake fluid into what is called a brake fluid pressure accumulator. The ABS system also contains a traction control system which is able to apply brake pressure to the individual wheels to stop wheel spin or skidding or release pressure. What this all means is the ABS/Traction Control System can apply the brakes without you ever touching the pedal, the pressure is applied through very strong pressure "POP-IT" valves, these valves can stick and this causes the brakes to be applied and burns up the brake pads and rotors very quickly. In order to correct this the ABS hydraulic control valve under the hood (block with all the brake lines connected to it) is defective and will need to be replaced to correct this problemin most cases. This problem may not set any codes or trun on any warning lights like the ABS or Traction control lights. The module requires special tools to replace and bleed out the air, so it must be done at a well equipped brake shop. The part comes in remanufactured form, here is the part number and the price of the ABS Hydraulic control unit (GM calls it the ABS Modulator valve). There are two parts to the system, the valve and the control unit, either may be the cause of the problem, its part number is also below.
I would replace both parts as one repair.

2.
When the preferred language appears, release both buttons. The DIC will then display the information in the language that was selected.
Hope this helps....
