How do you check engine cooling fan relay
here is your cooling system electrical wiring diagram.
use a digital volt ohm meter to check for power at relays and be sure to check fan operation (turn car on and fans and poke with a stick if fan starts operating and then shuts off it is drawing to much power and needs to be replaced. if blades will not turn fan is locked up and needs to be replaced. do not run engine for too long without proper functionong cooling system you could cause sever engine damage i.e. headgasket or cracked block. also be sure the radiator has plenty of coolant and is functioning normally hope this helps

Car will turn over or start
Hi Kay, I'm glad to help! Kay, if you turn the key on and nothing happens at all. In other words: You do not here the engine turning over and sometimes the dash lights and guages do not work. Here's your most likely problem. Your vehicle has what they call a WIN Module which is the same thing as an old style Ignition Switch. When the WIN goes bad it's shuts everything down and nothing happens when you turn the ket to the start position. This WIN will need to be replace at the dealership because they will need to program the WIN and then program the KEYs to the new WIN. NOTE: DO NOT be alarmed if the tell you that you need new keys because they want program to the new WIN, sometimes this happens in fact so often that the manufacture started sending NEW KEYS with the WIN, But, only on some year models. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Kay.

Where is th adjuster plug on the brakes of a stratus
Your talking about the rear (drums) brakes.
They have auto adjusters they adjust when your braking in reverse.
Try to apply your brakes in reverse a few times if not then.......
There is an oval plug on the back side of the drum at the top toward the back of the car.
Pop it out (with the back of the car in the air) use a flat headed screwdriver to turn the adjuster while turning wheel.

How to remove the fasteners that hold the insulation under the hood of dodge stratus
Hi Cadallic897, I'm glad to help. There is a trim panel tool you can pick up at autozone that will make the JOB a lot easier and you will need to buy new fasteners to put it back because they break when trying to remove them and if they don't break they do not hold as well when going back on. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Cadallic897.

How to set timing on 2006 dodge stratus sxt 2.4l ?
- Set the crankshaft sprocket at TDC by aligning the sprocket with the arrow on the oil pump housing.
- Set the camshafts timing marks so that the exhaust camshaft sprocket is a 1 / 2 notch below the intake camshaft sprocket.
- Use an Allen wrench on the tensioner. Rotate the tensioner counterclockwise while pushing on the wrench until it slides into the locking hole.
- This will allow you to slide your belt on. Hope this helps.

How often do i change oxygen sensor
You change the Front or Upstream Oxygen Sensors
every 100,000 miles or sooner, if they fail or slow down,
on ALL Vehicles
The Rear Sensors can stay until they fail
Doubt the Cylinder Misfires are from the O2 Sensors
You have to look at the reason for & correct the misfires
You should have a steady or flashing dash light on
If so, stop using it before you ruin the converter & get
it diagnosed & ALL Vehicle problems resolved at one time

Will the heads have to be pulled in order to check so see if it is a valve that is causing low compression? How long can you drive on a p0303 ?
Low compression does not require head removal. Do a compression test on a cylinder, then squirt some oil in the spark plug hole. Do the compression test on that cylinder again. If the compression goes up then the rings are worn. P0303 is a misfire in cylinder 3. This lets unburnt gas into the catalytic convertor. The cat can overheat, melt and be ruined. If the check engine light is blinking don't drive the car. A misfire is either no gas, no spark or low compression. The quivering light can be from idle or failing alternator. Put the probs of a multimeter on the battery posts. Set the meter to volts dc. Start the car the voltage should be between 13 and 14.6 volts. Anything more or less points to an alternator problem.

Why low compression in 3rd cylinder?
If you have low compression on that cylinder you could need new rings on pistions but I am thinking maybe your problem lies in the valves. I would have the valves checked first.

If it does not blow at all, then It is a bad blower motor, if it blows air but not able to adjust the temp, its the blend actuator.

2006 durango will not start
I would check for spark first with a spark plug tester. They are about $10 bucks and very easy to use. Then check all spark plugs for massive wear, and then check all spark plug wires for breaks or burn holes from motor. If not any of these, then I would check to timing belt. Once you diagnose these things, get back to me and we'll go from there. Good luck. P.S. Did the check engine light ever come on?
