I have a 2006 dodge stratus 2.4 I just took the trani out and replaced all the seals due to a major leak she ran good no leaks for a week now she is pouring out trani fluid again where could it possib

Did you prelube the seals after installation? Possibly damage one while installing? Use car wash pressure hose to clean things up, then try to find where the leak is.

Where is the computer reset button on a 2006 dodge stratus

What computer are you talking about , engine computer. It doesn't matter because there is no reset button. You need a scan tool or disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 or 10 min. Is the vehicle check engine light on , is that what's going on here ? You can try an reset the computer, but if the computer system has a problem it will come back on. An if the light is on you need to have it scanned for codes.

2006 dodge stratus battery

It is a Group 75/25 battery with lateral screw terminals. Do yourself a favor and buy a set of new terminals, as they corrode easily. Amclaussen.

I have a 2006 Dodge Stratus. My cigarette lighter

Sad to read this so late, but, anyhow. If the fan Works on higher speeds but not on lowwer ones, it is NOT a fuse, but the speed control RESISTOR! Find a higher wattage rating resistor of the same resistance (Ohmic) value and replace. Sometimes dirt and lint block the resistor from airstream keeping it not so hot, and then it burns... so clean around its location. Best luck, Amclaussen.

2006 Dodge Stratus, driver side door lock actuator not getting power. Replaced actuator didn't work. Need location of the relay wiring to try that next?

Nick: I would not go and fix the relays: those are inside the BCM or "Body Control Module" located under the dashboard to the extreme left or driver's side. Believe me, it is a nightmare to remove from the car and very expensive to repair at specialist shops. In my 2002 Stratus Sedan R/T Turbo (Mexico), the door locks started to ignore the door switches or the remote at about two years from new, but as it was an intermittent failure, I didn't go to the dealer to fix it under warranty. But after two more years and just out of warranty, the failure was more frequent. After six years of use, all the doors were ignoring the commands from either the door mounted switches or the remote. The thing is, "modern" cars are designed with too much reliance on software and computerized modules to perform simple tasks previoulsly done with simple wiring and relays. This is the case with the door lock actuated by a BCM. In the older Spirit, LeBaron, Reliant etc. generation designs, you had three wires to the small motor actuating the door lock mechanism. But some "too-intelligent" so called automotive designers decided a "better idea": to multiplex the lock/unlock commands on only two wires, "saving" a few feet of copper wires, but requiring the use of a complex Module, that ends up being much more costlier, heavier and unreliable! (but in that way the too-intelligent software (ab)using designers were happy). I solved my problem by disconnecting the door locks wiring to the BCM and paid a much lower price to a technician that installs cheap car alarms that have their own remote control. In that way i saved about $350 USD... you decide what to do! Best Luck, Amclaussen.

How to clean wet carpet in a car atfer a flood

You can hand shampoo it using clean water then hit it with a shop vac or other powerful wet/dry machine. It will eventually dry out. The problem is that moisture and odors will lay under it. You can take the whole carpet out of the car yourself and use a carpet cleaner, letting it fully dry before reinstalling. Generally this will require removing seats, consoles, and interior trim. If you are not experienced at this and don't have the proper tools, it can be a time consuming chore.

Otherwise contact a car/truck stereo installation shop. I find these folks are reasonable to pay for removal and reinstallation of the carpet and may also cheaply clean it for you.

Lastly you may just get a whole new carpet, look on ebay, and stuff that in there.

What causes my 2006 dodge stratus run for awhile and shut off. could it be the tempature sencor

if it were my car i would check the fuel pressure, sounds like maybe the fuel pump. first, when it dies and wont start you need to check and see if you have spark. pull off a plug wire and put a scewdriver or such and hold it about a quarter inch from the valve cover while someone cranks the engine. you should see a spark to the valve cover. if no spark then the ignition has problems, like maybe a cam or crank sensor. if there is spark but it dosnt start, its the fuel

2006 Dodge stratus power Windows not working. They

common problem on these cars and others. the wires that run from the body to the door bend too many times and break. they are inside the rubber cover. you can replace the wiring harness or you can splice them back together with some heat shrink connectors..you will need to pull the rubber back on the harness far enough to look for broken wires first. if you replace the harness you will have to remove the door panel and some other stuff to get it out and you will have to unplug it from the connector at the body. the quickest, easiest way is splicing.
