2003 dodge Intrepid 2.7l oil leak above rear main seal after running 20 minutes
rear main seal usually only leaks when the car is running. though oil will slowy drip off afterwards. now the best way to tell is to remove the heat sheild that covers the flywheel and look at it and at the flywheel . is the oil only on the engine side of the cover or is it inside the cover and on the fly wheel. the rear main seal will leak into the bellhousing and on the fly wheel the oil pan gasket will leak on the front of the heat sheild.

How to replace thermostat on 2003 intrepid 2.7 liter
Why do you need to replace thermostat.? Is it not getting hot enough via the heater,or is the engine water boiling? Its usually at the end of the bottom hose nowadays, youll see a round housing, two or three bolts.Drain the water first,or undo the bolts, engine cold, and catch the water.Replace with an original thermostat, and double check the sealing ring is in place on the new one.Refill radiator.Run engine, check water level later, with heater on hot
How to run a compression test on a 2003 dodge intrepid 2.7?
You should run a cylinder leak down test instead. If you run a compression test, you take out the spark plugs connect the pressure gauge to the engine in the spark plug hole and crank the engine. You want to make sure it does not start. Disconnect all the coils or remove all the spark plugs. NOTE that each cylinder may have different readings and this is normal. You are looking for big variances. It wont tell you if it is valves or rings though and a leak down test will.
Drivers window won't go up or down
If it makes no noise at all, then check fuse and relay. If it is only that window, it could be a loose connector or frayed wire or even a bad switch, but it could also be the motor (has it been slowing down, or did it work fine until it suddenly stopped?). If it makes noise but you get zero action, then your cable is probably either broken or off the track. You would probably need to remove the door panel (generally not that difficult) in order to verify.
Gauge cluster
Hi Penny, I'm glad to help! We see this all the time at the dealership. Sometimes a voltage spike will cause the gauge neetles to go in the wrong direction and they will stick behind the little pins that stick outward from the gauge. If you will look very close to see if the needles or on the wrong side of the pins. If they are there is a cheap way and an expensive way to fix the problem. NOTE: The expensive way is to take it to the dealer and have them re-calibrate the cluster. NOTE: The cheap way is. If you know someone mechanically inclined, you can have them remove the cluster and turn it upside done until the needles fall back to the correct side of the pins. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Penny.
How to fix a 0700 code
Letting you know the transmission has encountered a problem. Should have proper scan tool for transmission to dig deeper and hopefully eliminate small problem before it becomes a bigger, more expensive one. Reputable transmission repair place or dealer for diagnosis might pay off in long run. Not something to guess on. Sometimes a simple fluid and filter change is cure, but if you decide to try that first, be sure you use only Mopar transmission filter and fluid from dealer. Same or close as other prices but many times it has been proven to work better than other makes that say they are the same. Many instances where others have been talked in to other makes of fluid, and problems remained or more problems occured until Mopar was used. Just a warning, not a sales pitch.
